What I like about Jack, apart from his hair and humour, is how much he truly admires and appreciates Valentina. i think the one "tip" I have learned from watching your channel is to decorate all the rooms. I have only ever really decorated the livingroom and maybe the kitchen. Now I have the confidence to decorate the bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. Thanks for all of you inspiration.

Can Jack do videos on how to be a good husband? I see how he looks at Valentina when she talks and how he supports her dreams and encourages her all with a charming sense of humor. Seriously men need guidance and most do not support their wives like he does. I think a lot of men are threatened by strong driven women and in actuality if they support us we flourish.

Agree. I love how he loves her. In one of the videos in the car coming back from shopping, Valentina said something, and he gave a simple reply that had so much meaning; he said “I just love spending time with you”...Wao, after 20yrs....it melt my heart.

I also noticed that Jack never interrupts Valentina when she is speaking. The vast majority of guys I know can interrupt and/or talk over. He gives her space to thrive.

I have been thinking the exact same thing! To come up with so many great ideas for new content. Our first Christmas tree was a metal tomato cage in a pot, wrapped in garland. (Trees weren’t in the budget). I still use it (12 years later!) on our front porch. 💜

What great tips!! This is the first year that I’m not putting out all our decorations and it’s LIBERATING!! Also purged some decorations that were looking sad and donating those that no longer bring me joy. Can we please please have more of the play lists you mentioned? I LOVE your Spotify playlists you have…feel like such a sophisticated grownup when I listen to them! It’s a great change from my usual 90s girl songs :)

We have been married for 52 yrs. Thankfully in good health. Over the yrs, I have had so many different color combos on our tree. We have been donating or giving away a lot of Christmas items we do not need and our married sons do not want. I buy wire ribbon to put on our swags, baskets etc. Also, I spent a bit of money on spray paint for baskets. I like white. I put all the grands Christmas books in one, throws. I used my footed bowls and put ornaments in or pinecones. Also, we have 3huge pinecones that I bunch together and put the same ribbon around and set out. Love your hints.

I grew up in a household in which Christmas was a Huge ordeal. My mother knocked herself out every year. She stayed up late a night sewing matching pajamas for all of us plus doll clothes. She made a new elaborate Christmas menu each year. It took me until I was about 40 years old to realize that I was not required to repeat all those traditions. I began to cut back on all of the hours of labor required to pull off such an extravaganza. Now we try to take time to enjoy having the family together in less labor intensive activities. I make the same beef tenderloin with horseradish sauce for every Christmas dinner and my family loves it. I use gift bags on some gifts, which takes less time than wrapping every gift. We have more time to enjoy the holiday spirit and relaxing with our family! And, yes, we NEED the playlist, please!

Cement conical, mercury glass, beaded, wood, MCM stained glass...couldn't decide! This video of yours calmed me down, reminded me of my glass and silver hurricane lamps and lanterns: I realized one large, well-placed mercury glass tree is all I need--not a whole expensive forest of stylized trees. I loved this video! I mean, I love all your videos, but this one was so good!!! I loved when you said it’s not about trying to make your decorations look expensive, it’s about creating a feeling. I think decorating is way to love on others - they can feel your love through design and the fact that something is well thought out, purposeful, and beautiful makes an impact on how someone feels when they are in your home. I Love the elegant simplicity of just greenery with lights, and candles and/or a fire to set the holiday mood! Watched another video and thanks to you, I feel like I have permission to not have a tree topper, I think my faux tree will look more like a real tree just by removing the fluff at the top, such a simple but effect suggestion for that less is more look.
