This is masterfully sarcastic. I am going to watch it again except after nearly every sentence I am going to add out out loud. " Ya Cheap Bastard!" lol it would be really epic if you did though. Oh yeah, I dg the bend a pipe scene, super funny! here is what I heard in my head during that demo, LOL "I didn't want to wreck a whole pipe like you will be doing when you try this bend ya cheap bastard! " Killin it man. I hope you guys are doing awesome.
@@BrisbaneYamaha love it....still gonna build my own.....why spend good money on a professional when I can spend twice as much to buy the tools and countless hours to do it myself?
That's a man that is pissed off with people saying "How much for a bit of tubing and some canvas". Brilliant. Not rocket science but an art and would take me ages and cost a small fortune for the materials anyhow, especially if I bought the tubing from Bunnings instead of a wholesale metal merchant.
I've been going down the research rabbit hole trying to figure how to bend the aluminum for the least amount of $$$ (pipe benders are pricey). It never occurred to me to build a jig. Thanks for sharing!
Yes I agree to the gentleman that posted below. This guys are so awesome, they tell it how it is and they share their secrets. Tef-Gel how good is that, right? I have been driving myself nuts trying to find a video that would share what they use to combat stainless and aluminum, bloody nothing. We know this is bullsh.t, you can't mix stainless with aluminum there has to be a solution and these guys let us in on their secret. Thank you Brisbane Yamaha.
Thanks, you just helped me change my mind and not build my own Bimini top. Also save me some money. Too bad you aren't near Round Rock, TX, otherwise I would give y'all a call.
Wish I lived your way gonna need a new one soon on the 16 footer (what is that ~5 meters??)... I've tried to build everything myself for years. Ha ha my dad always told me you can buy that for $10 or make it yourself for $50 - he was right. I got a lot of $50's laying around half done and poorly designed... Nice video - Cheers!!
really nice tutorial and greetings from the Netherlands , love the video, could you add a list to the materials, please hinges thickness of the aluminum tubes, that would be great! keep them coming to those tutorials thanks in advanced
Yeah! Very easy but all the tools you're talking about cost more than just letting the trained guys to do it. Mine needs replacing soon so thanks for the video.
Love your work Aaron ! The Mrs is a huge fan of your vids , says you've got great energy ! I'm a Polycraft owner and looking to upscale in the near future and the Mrs said we have to drive all the way from Vic to Bris'vegas because she want's to buy nowhere else ? Should I be jealous ? She said " as long as we get to meet Aaron and Dan the cameraman we'll come and get a new Polycraft !! lol
And you’ll receive free tee shirts too. As for jealous only If she has a weird thing for overweight old men with four kids and lots of bad habits Lol You can always call Polly Pete if you’ve got and question
Aaron , I`m loving your videos ! I`m living near Hervey Bay now but next time I come down that way I`m going to call in and say hello. I worked for Telewater years ago but moved away from that area of work. Wish I could of been of been one of your employees !!! If some strange guy comes and says hello, please make me feel welcome. Keep up the good work.
Love it. Shows how 'simple' it is - so if you had any sense you would just go to Brisbane Yamaha and have the professionals do it. Cheaper in the long run than having your own 'masterpiece' repaired or replaced. 🤣
Great, so I just need an industrial sewing machine, make a die for bending the tube, buy the fittings, tubing and fabric and then make the bimini. Then I can store the sewing machine and die never to be used again. Thanks!
Boats aren’t the same size same angle of windscreen that’s why boat bininies and canopies have to be made for each boat Southwest sell a range of biminies in a box they come in different sizes great! Wrong they look like shit loose flap and wear out very quickly But if you’ve got a Great Wall and a Chinese outboard then you’ll probably love the price
Reading through the comments, some people are like, “Perfect info, where can I get the supplies?” Others get the sarcasm. You should start selling DYI kits for dummies. If you standard Bimini is like $3000, sell the kit for $2995, no refunds. And when they break all the bobs and bits, mark them up 10x and sell them some more.
Haha! Talks about how great their stuff is and then shows the weak links in their product. If you are going to be sarcastic about how good you are and how bad DIYers are maybe use quality parts.
Chris hollis mines 3 summers old and I'm out on my boat every weekend and it's still going strong! And if it does fail, I'll buy another one for $120 and replace it! I reckon I could buy 5 or 6 of them cost of one of these!
