I don’t own a runner. I hadn’t even heard of a ditch light. I thoroughly appreciate your ideas and aspirations to get better at your skills.

No 3rd gen (do have a 4th gen though) no ditch lights. Love your videos man. Been watching since the very first roof top tent build.

This video helped me build my brackets for my 2017 tacoma. Ditch brackets are usually 80 bucks for some bent metal, so I bent it myself after this video. Awesome. Thanks Patrick.

Funny thing is that I don't have a need for ditch lights but after this, I want one.

Currently camping out of my '01 Sierra just about every weekend and building as I go for my level/style. Realized last weekend that I definitely need more lights but hadn't planned out how to mount them, I now know the direction I'm going to be looking.. Stumbled onto your channel looking for awning ideas, found them as well. Definitely appreciate you and the fab work you put into it all. Keep up the solid work!!

Every time you did a test fit with it sandwiched between the hood and hinge, I was like "come on!". The end was a pleasant surprise haha.

2nd gen sequoia here... I do need ditch light brackets because nobody makes anything for this truck but I really just enjoy watching you build stuff.

Yea dont have a 3rd gen and dont NEEEED ditch lights brackets. But after staying till the end I feel I should make some for my 4th gen Cummins and have already started looking at yeswelders... So thats a thing now.

While this was made for a 3rd Gen, I plan on using the same concept on my 97 Jeep ZJ. I think it will look just as good. Great video. Thanks.

I don't have a 3rd gen or a need for ditch lights. But it's always good to learn new techniques on how to do thing. Like using the wire bad thinner metal to rough in the look you want.

i was going to build some brackets just as learning experience! im using aluminum because it's lighter, think there would be any issues vs the steel?

Well, I don't plan on using ditch lights therefore i have no need of a bracket. I own Ranger and I watched till the end of the video. I did however enjoy watching the designing and building process. I enjoy watching makers make and interact with their community. I am planning to make some mods to my own vehicle soon so easy fixes like this are an encouragement to me and can help generate awesome ideas. P.S. This is the first video I have seen of your builds. (A YT Recommendation)

Lol I was actually looking for diy mounting brackets for a diy linear actuator I'm making, :( but having no luck. I watched til the end for any tips/tricks ideas, I don't have a 4runner (Lol, but do have a Laredo.), don't intend on making ditch lights brackets, but enjoyed the diy info in case I ever need similar brackets (which could happen, ALWAYS DIYING.)...

I have a 2009 Hyundai Sonata. Those would be PERFECT to mount some lights for driving on the back roads on my way to work at 4 am! Ditch lights?...no, Deer lights! Awesome video brother!

I do need ditch lights, but do not have a 4 Runner, I have a 2001 Isuzu VehiCROSS which has zero aftermarket support so all things need to be custom made. You inspired me to try making some brackets. Thanks

Very cool! I've been looking for a way to mount these lights without clamping them directly onto the hood (don't like to mess with the paint). Do the lights swivel left and right? Also, do you sell these brackets? I have a '98 4Runner, and I would imagine your "pre-fab" model would fit mine.

Would you be interested in building a bracket for the Subaru outback Wilderness Bumper lights They would both up. Where the gold tow covers RA bar going across will block the front plate. I was trying to avoid that. Thank you

#1 reason not to mount the bracket between hood and hinge: I drive a first Gen Sequoia, not a riced out Honda Civic. 😂 Excellent work and idea, as usual. You just gave me something to tinker with.

I am a Jeep Guy I do not own a 3rd Gen but I stayed to the end because I take lessons away from all of your videos, in fact I am starting a DIY awning for our ram 3500. It's our tow vehicle that we day trip with while out camping and hiking and exploring. The bed is set up with a small slide out kitchen and gear storage. Ibwant to have the option of sun and weather protection. I have learned a ton from your videos. Thank you.

Planning ditch lights, no 4runner (2019 Ram and 2000 XJ). I just love DIY stuff. LOVE IT !!

I have a Subaru, I don't have an angle grinder, I don't have a welder, or a vice. Stayed until the end. What I have are two ditch lights in a box waiting for my buddy at the body shop to color-match the housings to the body. I will at some point in the future have to figure out how the heck I'm going to mount them. Friggin hood is aluminum so magnet option for me.

No I don’t need the amount for the light but the simple technique I could use for all the products And I also been thinking about getting the yes welder Because I want to do projects in aluminum

Don't think I need ditch lights. HOWEVER for years I've thought about making tie down points for the front of my canoe. This will be PERFECT for that and I recently bought a little 120v multi-process Lincoln welder and am learning Mig and Tig with it. So no ditch lights, but an absolute PERFECT video for me! Indeed, I don't own a 4Runner, nor have the need to build off-road lights brackets (I got them on ebay for the lights on my truck) but your videos are awesome to watch, in every one of them I have learned very useful DIY techniques that I ended up applying to different projects, thanks for being an inspiration 👍👍

2010 Ford F-150 FX4, stayed to the end! Good info that carries over to any vehicle. Thanks brother! Good work, thinking about doing the same but using a torch to heat the steel up and bend it. I don't have a welder, and I hope that works.

From South Africa, so no 4Runners here. I do however own a Toyota Fortuner, supposedly the South African 4Runner. No ditch lights either, but loved the video man. Might look into getting a set.
