In fact, there's no competition in art unless when comes to ability of the artist. If asked to compete the winner is depending on jury's art perception and what does suits his/her heart. I got learned this fact after I tried follow IG artists to make more choices and to prevent hating someone caused by fanatism and I find out if the many artists I follow the more happier am I and I find out there's no competition at all cause it makes personal relationship and every person obviously has different taste in his/her arts. So, why not share it? The more artists you follow the more happier you, and every artist has different taste and you would be bored if you just follow one or few.

I wish there were programs and courses like this when I learned to make fonts! I took a full course on it, plus I had to purchase all the software to create and code it, it was EXPENSIVE! It's nice, because I know how to code it myself, but it literally takes weeks of work for just a basic font. I will definitely try this method for some quick, fun fonts! Thank you!

Amanda Wiley I know what you mean! I too purchased an expensive course, but I never seemed to have the time to actually go through it yet. But with the intensive font making course/software, you can make them to professional standard if you decide to sell them in the future. This is so much fun though. I can definitely start and finish this in an hour.

Amanda, I love it when I see people like yourself that are already experienced in, say, Typography in this instance - but still appreciative of a simpler way and show it! I’ve only just seen the video and I’M excited so I can’t imagine how you’d feel having the process simplified so much. 💖😂👏🏼

I felt this way after all the web design courses.....and then Wix and them came out with premade/pre-coded sites. hahahaha Sometimes, i go back to coding just for the fun of it. But, at least you know how to code and create fonts. Not many who can easily make fonts will go back to acquire this skill. :)

This video was great!!!! You're amazing, truly! And the difference between ttf (truetype fonts) and otf (opentype fonts) is that the latter let's you have more characters in the file. It comes in handy when you want to have alternate characters or glyphs on the same font pack, whilst if you use the first and want those options, you'd have to create a different file font!

I don’t remember what program it was, but I got very excited knowing I could make my own font using it. But, I failed and I don’t remember why now. I always wondered if there were other programs out there that would be better... I might give this a try.

This was SO helpful! Thank you, once again, for your willingness to share. I also have trouble drawing the ampersand, but found if I draw the straight part first, and then treat the rest like an open eight, it turns out looking way better. I hope that helps!

This is so so helpful! I'd always wondered how people made fonts. And as someone who's installed fonts by other makers, I'd assume it's just downloading the font and then searching for the Windows font folder and putting the file in there?
