@@WaterspoutsOfTheDeepnot in France, really forbidden in baby proucts. it is neurotoxic for the still immature nervous system of the child. They can cause epileptic seizures, convulsions and growth delays because they are active substances.
Rubbing essential oils to a baby girl's private area is such a stupid idea that I have no idea how you haven't given your poor daughter a yeast infection or UTI yet 🤦
That’s a terrible approach if you actually cared about changing someone’s mind. The mom isn’t going to see your comment and think, wow, so insightful and the tone is so palatable. I’ll rethink my ingredients.
@kikidee9623 If the mom wants to be willingly ignorant it’s her own choice. Don’t expect people to handle you with ‘kid gloves’ all because your pride is more important than being willing to learn to ensure you won’t cause harm to own child.
@@spareaccount1969 basic social manners isn’t kid gloves. Hormones are super hard, you don’t always feel so angry when you get to be an adult. Feel better 😘
@kikidee9623 just a thought, but maybe it's not about changing the mom's mind but letting others know, that don't have any understanding of girl hygiene, fact are facts, soap shouldn't sit on any skin if it's not getting washed away.
So you're using bleached paper towels, and essential oil, and then saying that it's "safe". You're better off using actual baby wipes, considering they're much softer and less of a skin Irritant.
It's these types of moms who think that essential oils do everything.. And in fact , they actually cause more harm. I listen to someone.Tell me that I could put essential oil in my humidifier when my kid was sick. She ended up in the e r with severe breathing problems. When I told the Doctor that her cough got worse with the humidifier, he said. What kind of humidifier do you have?I then told him what kind and that I put essential oil in it.And he basically slapping me across the face. And said well that's why your child's in the emergency room.
depends on what oil and how much you were using too... also if it was an ultrasonic you may not have been properly cleaning it or using tap water. its easy to cause infections from those not being sanitized. essential oils are like drugs a person cant just do whatever you want and think its safe
as others have said, those wipes are not safe to use on your infant. however, if you still plan on using them, please avoid storing the wipes in that container if you are covering it with the wooden lid. Wood is porous and can easily absorb the moisture from the wipes, potentially causing mold growth if kept damp for an extended period
Miss Ma’am…. Baby wipes aren’t toxic to begin with. If your child has sensitive skin, they literally make Water Wipes, which are either 99% or 99.9% water. I feel like this concoction you’re making is way worse than that 💀💀💀
This. I'm not a mom or anything but I too fell down the rabbit hole of EVERYTHING IS TOXIC, and the closer you are to a caveman lifestyle the better! Glad I can see the light now.
@@Tay-p6s in most countries you can't just put whatever chemicals you want into cosmetics, let alone baby products, cause all the ingredients have to be tested multiple times to be safe to use. But the woman in this video thinks putting witch hazel and essential oil into wipes is safe for he child because IT's aLL nAtUrAl AnD oRgAnIc
You proved her point in your own comment. Yes, there are cancer causing ingredients in many many brands of baby wipes which is WHY I switched to water wipes brand. I stopped using them when they started raising the price after Biden, but I still use nontoxic ones which are more expensive
There’s a lot of chemicals in paper towels… lead, bleach, etc. wild and pure makes cotton chemical free wipes that are also reusable and you could use this liquid mixture on
Plus using detergents and essential oils without diluting them. Oil and water do not mix You have to dilute essential oils else they will harm skin, especially the sensitive skin of a baby. People are obsessed with ‘natural’ without bothering to research things. These ‘natural’ products can be just are dangerous, usually more so due to people not knowing how to safely use them, the concentration being highly variable and many mixed ingredients not being stable or even combining to form very harmful chemicals.
Agree, when it comes to babies it’s best to avoid essential oils all together. Even oil diffusers, our pediatrician told us the oil in the air can cause issues with their still developing lungs. I’m passing this information along in case anyone else finds it’s useful to know
@@spareaccount1969 You literally just watched her dilute them with water lol Oil and water do mix, if you have emulsifiers/surfactants That’s why there’s soap and witch hazel, though the witch hazel probably could’ve done the job alone.
I was convinced it was satire because it is so morоnic I can’t . Like what is safe about switching babywipe to some no name roller paper. They both are bleached with chemicals during manufacturing. Why invent the wheel. And I’m not even talking about the essential oil
This!!!!! I literally thought the same thing 😅 Unfortunately, I think she's actually serious once I saw her actually use it on her baby 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ I pray that baby doesn't have an adverse reaction to the EO's...I'd be afraid this mom would slather on more oils to "help" the rash & not believe her "natural" oils could ever cause harm 😱👀 (and I'm not anti-oils, I use them in small amounts to make cleaning products, but I'd never use on skin, especially my childs!!!!!)
Please DO NOT use essential oils in these. And using soft toilet paper may be less harsh on your baby’s tush as paper towels which are bleached have a lot of chemicals in them. I would honestly recommend just using reusable bamboo cloths and water. Love the fact you’re trying to make these at home tjough
❤❤❤❤❤❤ You go girl!!! You are doing a beautiful thing for your baby!!! I cannot believe how many mean people there are in this world! Always trying to cut people to the ground! There are harmful chemicals in the laundry soap they use!! Don’t you think a washcloth would also grow mold? I’m quite sure all of hose haters are using far worse things in their own homes
Just wash your baby with lukewarm water and baby soup for the poop case, then dry with clean cotton towel gently. Also use a bidet for yourself and the adult ones in your house. That's how easy and simple you become clean and your family without infections or any other bad side effects.
Baby Girls always tend to have more sensitive skin. My daughter had sensitive skin and my son didn't, but I always only washed her with warm water in the bathroom when i was at home everytime I changed her nappy and when i was out i used a dry tissue paper with water that I always had with me. With my son i used wet wipes from the store , never had a problem with that
Idk what mom needs to read this, but women used to raise children in caves and we made it till today lol Baby's are not fragile or super sensitive, they're actually super resilient. Just love and care for them without overthinking it and listen to pediatricians lol
Now they make baby wipes that are almost pure water if your worried about that. Paper towels are so rough! and maybe you should watch a video on how they make paper products.... They aren't non toxic, this just makes me shiver.
A wet washcloth is plenty for a baby. If necessary, a mild soap and water will do you can carry a baby over the sink and wad their bum if its a poo explosion. I do that until the baby gets too big to carry over a sink then i just do a half bath if Im at home or access to a large arge kitchenbsink with sprayer hose...dont worry just pass a sanitizerbwipe over the sink if you're so grossed out. I just wash ot as i normally do with bathroom.cleaner and hot water.
Soapmaker and cosmetic formulator here: this is a great way to cause bacterial infections and skin burns. Essential oils are NOT for babies' skin - none of those ingredients were weighed either which can cause dermatitis from not rinsing very concentrated Castile soap (that dilution ratio is not enough).
Nice: those are cellulose based instead of synthetic fleece and fully biodegradable (given the soap is actually soap). Question: How long does one batch last? (As microbes are going to live on it. No big deal, depending on temperature and duration. Next question! Why wipe baby skin with soap at all? Let alone leave the soap on instead of rinsing it off? Ergo: tissue and water are perfect. Regular baby-wipes (the nasty so-called disposables but non-flushable because tey are made from synthetic fibre) can be machine washed again and again in a clothesnet, then - fluffed up and remaining in the same net - hung to air dry. Carry a bunch of those and a bottle of water, or if you fancy carry-on wet wipes, put some neatly folded into a ziploc bag with a squirt of water. Now THAT'S sustainable and non-tocic. But it"s too radically sane for insta
Yes, wild and pure is the name of the brand. They used to use do baby wipes and the wipes were also organic cotton, with its own all natural soap for the wipes that came is a glass jar with silicone ones for on the go. But they changed a year or so ago. They still have the wipes which have a certification and than they have products for adults but you can just order the wipes and make your own solution
Excellent DIY just a small amount of essential oil makes it so that there is no creation of mold and just that small amount of essential oil is not harmful to the skin in fact, almost every lotion has rosemary oil to prevent molding.
FYI, essential oils are commonly contraindicated for children above 7yo and during pregnancy. You should use vegetal oils instead and drop the paper towel and the soap !
I love how TikTok just destroys family bloggers and mommy influencers for showing their kids to an unimaginably huge crowd of strangers online and here everyone just doesn't talk about that?
2 TBS of baby oil, 2 TBS of baby shampoo, and 2 cups of hot water. buy the no scent kind and youre even closer to non-toxic. did it for years. never had a re-action and our kid had allergies.
In 3 days you'll have a pefeck towel full of bacteria. Try to low the ph with some citric acid to stop the growth of bacteria or some kalium carbonat ( food conservative) it will last longer. Citric acid: 3 to for weeks. Kalium carbonat will do up to 6 moths with the rigth amount😊
What about the paper towels themselves, how do you know they don't have toxic dyes etc in them. When you wet them they could be seeping. They're not made for human skin but kitchen counters. I dont know if they are bad, I'm just saying they might be, one should look into it.
Improvising is not being poor, but some ppl will definitely make you think that you are. They'll go crazy if their regular purchase is out of stock. Meanwhile, we're over here like, 🤔...💡...☝️... "oh, easy fix." 😊
Just use cotton towels at the house with warm water.. no need for all the other ingredients. Paper towels are not soft neither prepared for babies private parts use
I understand they are getting covered in a soap, but is this not a bacterial hazard? Who knows what’s on that paper towel. I could be wrong I’m just curious
She forgot to add that you need *the expensive* paper towels for this! If you're broke and can only afford dollar tree paper towels, you're screwed. 😑🤦🏻♀️🥲
Mixing at home random ingredients can be actually dangerous, you don't know the composition of the products you mixed, some elements maybe mixed together can cause irritations, maybe that will come up later. Use always products formulated in a lab, they're not "toxic" as you may think, even though in America legislation on cosmetic is not strict
