I finally caved and upgraded from Designer Plus to the Business and I'm glad I did because it does give you more options to choose from. Also by doing this you're not wondering all the time if you are missing out on something that would make your life easier. : )
Wooow, TYFS this! I work with Rhinestones all the time but was so intimidated to make my own file and thought let me look it up. I always come back because you're such a great and thorough instructor. I love your tutorials. Thanks again.
An excellent video. First one among all related ones that I watched that actually informs you that you need to upgrade the Silhouette Studio in order to unlock the Rhinestones feature!
Not sure why I have not seem you on here lately but I still return back to your videos some times, I have learned a lot from you. Thanks for this one, I really needed it and you did a great job and explaining how to Design your own Rhinestone, just what i needed
Your videos inspire me so much. I only had my cameo 4 for almost 2 months. I now upgraded my basic and doing very well. Thanks so much!!! You taught me everything I know
Great video! I am trying to find a video where I can make a Rhinestone tumbler personalized with names. I need help with getting the measurements first for the cup then how slice so I can put the name in
Hello, why you didn't show us how to correct the circles or break them apart to copy and past more circle on to fill in the spaces, I have never used silhouette before and having so much trouble with this
You have just shown me a feature that I didn't know existed, cheers for that. So what happens next? I would really like to see a video from start to finish of a design onto a tee shirt. If you have one or know of one please let me know. Thanks again for a heads up on this.
Hey Helen! Thanks for watching and I'm so glad we were able to share this little nugget of information! It's on my agenda this week to complete a rhinestone project from start to finish and have it posted next week. If you are looking for a faux rhinestone project from start to finish, that should be one of the videos posted this week!
Good info, had my cameo for some years but never touched the rhinestone features. Thanks for the video. You have a good source for rhinestones? And what's the next step to getting them in the shirt?
Hi! We have a follow-up rhinestone video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4jD84gTCN6c.html If you have any questions, you can always put them in our Facebook group! We have so many helpful crafters: facebook.com/groups/1930716583871665 - Dawn🙂
Hey Jennifer, that is a design we made here in the tutorial, then filled to mimic the rainbow holographic HTV that I love to use with faux rhinestones. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Is there a way to make the rhinestone holes a little larger to make it easiter to brush the rhinestones into the flock template? It looks like the program makes the holes or circles exact size which is not necessarily a bad thing. I used Silhouette to create the template and it worked great, cut the flock but when trying to brush the stones in I ended up have to place a lot of them manually because they would not easily settle into the holes.
Hey there! If you are starting to work with rhinestones for the first time, you may want to look into buying a starter kit. But the materials will be 1) Sticky Flock 2) Rhinestone Transfer Tape 3) Rhinestones 4) Rhinestone Brush. You can see these in action in a different video, I'll link it below. Hope this helps! ---Becky ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4jD84gTCN6c.html
Wish you all the a option on the basic edition for those who can't have the basic edition,in my country it cost me almost 4000k for cameo 4 ,my I'm unemployed so and can't even get basic stuff to do any craft, and I'm a beginner
Hello, I upgraded to the business edition of Silhouette Studios, but when I click on the icon, it still says Basic Edition. How do I resolve this? Thank you in advance. Donna
Thank you so much. I did contact support, they emailed the instructions to me, and it worked PERFECTLY. Just 2 or 3 clicks, and it was upgraded to Business Editor. Now, I’ll keep practicing my new craft. Again, thank you for teaching us beginners how to use this new skill! It’s going to be so much fun for me. Thanks again. Donna 💎♦️💎
Hi Becky, What blade do you use to cut these with the cameo? I want to use my cb09 since it cuts better for smaller details, but with this many circles to cut I'm scared the weight of the blade will ruin the machine.
Hey there, I sure wish I could. I actually purchased these second-hand from a retail store that was closing near me locally. I'm not sure where they originally come from. Good luck in your search! ---Becky
Hey Jeanne! If you purchase a rhinestone design (you unfortunately cannot make them yourself in DS) you can import the SVG file like normal. Most SVG files will give sizing guides since DS doesn't import the size correctly. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Hello please am trying to upgrade my silhouette studio cameo 4 from design editions to another edition it written (incompatible) please what can cause this thanks
Hey Alaka, sometimes this happens if the key you are entering doesn't match up with the upgrade you need. For example, if you have Design Edition, but you purchased the upgrade to go from Designer Edition Plus to Business Edition, this would happen. I would recommend contacting the site you purchased the key from or Silhouette America. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Hey Suga, great question! With Faux Rhinestones, yes, you mirror just like regular HTV designs. But with regular hot-fix rhinestones, no, you do not mirror your design. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Our apologies for the delay in response and we hope you've found the answer but if you are still having any troubles, please feel free to write in to mail@designbundles.net or join us in a live chat so we can help with your next project! - Brittany
Hi there! First, go to your custom palette. Click the plus sign to add the custom color. Repeat this process to add your preferred colors. You can delete a custom palette by right clicking on the palette and clicking Delete (and the name of your palette) - Dawn
@@DesignBundles Ah that’s not really what I was asking for. Currently, I'm not really satisfied with the number of colors for rhinestones in the Rhinestone Library (the one in the Rhinestones Panel with the sign of a rhinestone and a plus on the top right corner). It's kinda limited. Therefore, I want to create more colors for my rhinestones. Do you have any suggestions? Btw, thanks for your info above.
So with silhouette can you edit the placement of the rhinestones? Like I saw some areas I would want more stones added...I mean added as part of template design (not after)
Hey Dion, you can go in and add more stones and rearrange them after using the software to perform the basic setup. After you use "release rhinestones" you can move the circles individually and also use copy/paste to insert more circles of the same size. Hope this helps! ---Becky
