Awesome!!! I can't buy spectra flame paint where I live in England so this video helps me a lot to achieve what I need & want.- thank you very much... a great video informative.
Absolutely my pleasure. Now with that said, all the colors do not come out true. Like red. It comes out more magenta. And black on the purple side. But you can remedy that by mixing the colors to get the desired color. The other colors have come out true. Just not the red and black. Thanks for watching
@@roc706 Hello. here are a couple..... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HUbTaKz7Q-M.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6gQ7eFHZLKk.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZFhHr49yG2Q.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UNFQcVnuaBM.html
Excellent. No need to thin or clear afterwards as you are using a clear to paint with. Also no need for thinning or activators/hardeners Thanks for watching
Me too was a little late so watched it again top idea Pete. I'm the speed up bots it looked like you were drinking it thru a mini straw😂🤣. Can wait to see you use some on a custom and see what it turns out like. At least you didn't end up with it all over your mouth😂🤣. Great video Pete.👍🇦🇺✌
My pleasure. but always test spray before using. To make sure the tint is what you want. And I recommend using the BOLD color pens. They are much darker. Thanks for watching
So glad you shared this Pete!! I’m working on the process right now, u da man!! 💪💪 Gonna be sending something your way one of these days to thank you for the HUGE MONEY SAVER!! 👊👊😎
112th thumbs up brother definitely a huge tip and thanks for sharing it with us this is going to save me money and definitely appreciated and have a great day brother 👍👊😎
My pleasure. That is the whole point of the video. the color was discovered by accident. Thought it was going to be red. But nope.....Now I can tint it with kust a drop or two of black and it will get there. but if you want a red you have to use the "bold" color ink pens. Thanks for watching
Much appreciated my man! I just made my own spectra flame paint, thanks to your video! I also tried a couple colors out and they came out amazing!!! I do have just one question. Does it have to be the spray polyurethane, or can I get a quart can and use that?
My pleasure. I recommend spraying on spoons though. AS some colors are not 100% accurate. Like the red comes out magenta. Normally a drop or two of the black will work just fine to darken it up to a red. It will work with any clear. When I first started I used it out of a spray can as that is already thinned. If you use anything else you will have to thin it to get it to go through your airbrush. Thanks for watching
@@OldManDiecast oh ok! Yeah I wondered what the difference was. Thanks for the advice on the red, haven’t tried that one yet, but the two I did try was orange and purple. Orange was nice, the purple however, was beyond perfect. I’m still blown away by 1. How easy it was 2. How much paint I was able to get out of a single can. Anyways, thanks again!
watched twice but dang kids won't be quiet lol. poly gloss clear and pens sweet. so do u need clear again after painting and is it airbrush ready. haven't tried my airbrush yet but this sure give me a reason to stop procrastinating lol. this is an awesome vid thx for the tips for us that have lower budgets
No problem......I am on a budget so that is why I pass these on. No thinning. Airbrush ready. First coat will look like there is nothing there. Except the metal will no longer be shiny . Then just build up until you get the look you want. You can use any clear but I would stick with a polyurethane for quality and long lasting. Rustoleum makes a super clear one call triple thick glaze.......Looks like water it is so clear. No need to clear over after wards. You could run the risk of having the color kind of turn into a matte finish because of the layering ........Thanks for watching
Thank you very much. As far as spraying? No sir. I did use it on this one however ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nuRVg5lV-zM.html Thanks for watching
@@bsdiecastfantasyland2320 It depends on the paint. Water based paints water or 90-91% alcohol. Enamels most will clean with mineral spirits. All others Lacquer thinner....Of course each paint company sells their own. SO when in doubt get theirs. Anything that thins , cleans
