Thanks brother. Just bought one if those bikes and when you disengage the clutch it makes an awful whining noise. Shifts and works ok but gonna try this adjustment first and see if the whining stops. Thanks for the info. Amazed, i can take a ktm apart with my eyes closed but don't know anything about one of these lol. Thanks again
@@AaronsEnduro I did this because I thought my bike couldn't start come to find out I had electrical issue now I'm back here again trying to adjust it because when I put my bike into first gear with the clutch pulled in the bike stalls and dies immediately
Hey man much appreciated for this video definitely went ahead and made that purchase and will be doing this to my 125 Apollo. Anything else you recommend I do to my Apollo to make it last long time? I'm willing to buy multiple parts to replace the stock parts that come on the Apollo I just don't know what to get. I want my bike to last a long time and not give me problems if I try to ride it long-distance
@@AaronsEnduro thanks for that. Sidenote I actually own the Apollo z40 125. Hopefully the parts that you linked and which I purchased work for my bike also! I believe they will. Same with the carbhub vm22 and the uni filter. PRAYING all of this works with the z40 125
This helped so much actually thank you, when I used to shift into 1st I had to rev the engine up and shift into it quickly and now that I adjusted it I can sit at stop lights and anywhere with my hand on the clutch in 1st gear this was a life saver THANK YOU!

Hey do u know that screw and nut adjuster in the middle of the other side of that cover do u know where I can buy a replacement one for a 125cc dirtbike I can’t find one anywhere or I don’t know what’s it called so if u can give me a hand mad stuff if not allg
Bro my dad didn't believe me when I told him I got to do all these manual adjustments he's like no it should be good from factory.. he's like it's like buying a new car 🤦🏽 he's a mechanic though so i can't debate with him but I'm finally going to tackle this , will this fix the issue where my lever doesn't spring back when I let go?
Hey, really appreciate all the vids, quick question: I believe the recommended oil amount is 750 mL, I dumped about 800 mL in and when I took the clutch case off everything was completely dry, should I add more oil or should it be dry because it's cold at the moment
Dude thanks for the awesome videos! Without your help I'm sure my(and a lot of othere) bike wouldn't run as good as it does now. Keep them coming... I have an Idea for a new video: how to shim the kick start. .. when im driving I have a slight noise from the Kickstart..
This is great! Thank you for this. Got my kid a 110 Rfz Semi Auto and I do believe that the Semi Auto adjustment is located in the same location. I'll give it a try.
Hey man, doing this right now. on the first adjustment it seems like it’s lubed up in there and mine wasn’t when I opened it, don’t know if that’s critical
I have bought a new chinese 125cc pit bike. Clutch does not fully engage after all the adjustments. Seller does not give warranty for a transmission. What to do? :(
If you slipped the clutch a bunch before getting it set right you can glaze the discs and theyll never mesh together again after. Youd need a new clutch in that scenario
hey man, found your video last night trying to see if I could get the shock to b more comfortable, anyways I thought I give this ago as I've never done this b4 and my clutch as always felt like ass, doing the first step I've tightened the flathead screw to tight I think n I've snapped my clutch cable, what I'm wondering is should the plate have some play in it, I've tightened the flathead screw how u explained in the video and now the plate has some play in it, where as wen I took the clutch cover off it seemed solid, no play in the plate
you seem like you know whats what so i just boughta dirtbike same brand my clutch lever isnt doing anything and i can switch gears freely which i know should not happen im new to bikes so this is all new to me
@@AaronsEnduro when i change gears the bike stops however if im holding the gas it will jump and then stall but if i can time it it will launch and i can ride however i wont be able to stop but when i do it turns off
Dude I’m not even joking on how much this video helped me I was literally popping wheelies when I put the bike into first gear because the clutch would not disengage and maybe do you know if the bike is supposed to shake a lot when it’s idle thanks
well to bad for me because who ever put this engine together on the apollo i have lol the 2 screw bolts feel like there welded on .... am i screwed or not lol
@@AaronsEnduro hi there bro i got a cuestión if you can help me out I got a 2017 125 cc rfz but my throttle cable is broke I order one in amazon they send me a different one. You know what size is it or how to order it? Plz and thank you
Good video. I think a good way to say this is that you screw the flat head adjustment screw out until it’s well loose and then back in until it’s “seated”. You will feel it go from no resistance to seated. Then if you were to keep tightening it you know you’re adding a lot. I’ll play around with the adjustment and report back.
Hi quick question I had the same problem I did the first step but I kinda tighten it to much now when I don’t press the clutch it feels like it’s in the clutch position the bike won’t kick now it goes down soft with no power and I got can’t loosen the flat head screw that I tighten the clutch thing with
Great videos! Just have a quick question: my clutch is pretty stiff. I haven’t had any problems with it, just don’t like it being so darn stiff…how would I go about loosening it, so I can pull it with 1-2 fingers instead of having to use my whole hand?? Thank you!
Hey buddy my wife layed her bike down on friday and broke the clutch lever, I bought the foldable set like u got, the clutch lever worked fine, but the break lever mount hole is way bigger than the stock, and the lever jiggles. Got any ideas to fix it?
@@AaronsEnduro idk I bought the collapsible ones...delivered on Saturday, she didnt care if they dont match... lol I got it going , she's a trooper bro, I got it on video... I'm gonna start uploading vids so you can see our adventures, start us dirt bike community with adventures and campsite. Sananagins!... feel me?
Or you were riding around with not enough oil. But if you were inside the engine id assume you had drained the oil to pull the casing off. So in that case its normal that its dry ( since you drained the oil)
I have an Apollo 125CC dbx and I just changed the carburetor two-way Mikuni 26 mm on my old carburetor on the needle was set at the top on the new carburetor it was set the second from the top it didn't work so I put it at the top and it still idles way too high and I put aftermarket fuel screw you know the red one from Amazon
Glad you enjoyed it! If you could leave a like to help spread this video to others thatd be killer! Thanks for watching! If you ever need help feel free to ask!
Hey man, same bike. My kick lever won’t go down, I’ve replaced the carb, throttle cable and clutch lever and cable. All needed replacement anyways but now am at the part where i need to fix the problem and I have no idea if clutch adjustment can fix it? Any clues? Thx
If the kickstarter wont turn over, you either A, broke the teeth on the kickstarter shaft and its jammed. Or you blew your engine and the piston is seized. Does the bike bump start? If so its just the broken kick start shaft/teeth
@@AaronsEnduro Thanks for the quick reply! Honestly I haven’t started the bike in over 5yrs and it has just sat in my aunts garage. But I remember i use to bump start it during my last days riding it and i’m pretty sure it’s kickstarter shaft problem. I’m gonna see if you have any vids I can watch to fix that. Thanks for the rely or I would’ve never been reminded I use to bump start it lol
Hey man! Doing this I ran into something really bad, while adjusting the screw, as I was putting the nut back on the screw completely snapped on me! And honestly not sure what I should do at this point.
I know that if the bike clutch hasnt been actuated a couple times to get oil through the clutch pack it wont matter how much you adjust it because the clutch pack is sticking together. Start the bike up, use the clutch a couple times to free the clutch pack and get oil through it, then set it
Get on line if it is hard to pull and it is not the cable you can get a little box that hooks to the cable at the lever end it says easy clutch at least the one on my 490 Yamaha yz does but I don't see why a smaller bike would need one a screw fell out of mine on the trail and I had to take it off and just put the cable on without it u better b a hell of a man all i can do to pull it in and it not on there so when I got home i put it back on the clutch is huge in the bike it is the definition of evil better not try that bike if you are a beginer.
