Thank you so much for using something other than design space, silhouette studio, or photoshop. I knew it could be done without those programs. Great video!!!
OMG OMG OMG THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!Ive been tryna do this all kind of ways watching videos of how to split a design for my embroidery reposition hoop! You are the truth!I just needed someone to see my vision n execute it!!.knew it could be done using all the tools lol Now I’m ready for my big everything!I love Inkscape more and more!!💪🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾😊😊😊
Thanks for the tutorial! I refuse to use adobe products, so I downloaded inkscape instead. You're saving me a lot of time and headaches trying to figure it out myself
Great video! Thank you for sharing with us... 🙂 Based on your method of using 2 gray boxes for a pic that will fit on 2 pieces of paper, I had to print a 12"x12" pic, which of course I needed 4 pieces of paper, 4 gray squares. So using your method,, I was able to do it with no problems whatsoever! Thanks again, and I look forward to your upcoming videos!
Absolutely amazing video, I am just starting to sublimate items. Your video has put a new light on doing this. So thank you for sharing your knowledge with the rest of us. Be Blessed and have an amazing day sis.
I just stumbled on to this video & I'm so glad! You told me exactly what I need to do & with such detail! You are so easy to listen to. I hit the SUBSCRIBE button so I will be seeing more of you! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. God bless. 🥰
omg!!! If you're not the easiest person to learn from idk, i just don't know lol You explained everything clear and perfectly. Thank you so much for sharing this xoxo
Omg thank you so much ❤ that tutorial was on point!! Great job sis 👏🏽 I just bought an Epson ET-3710 and my biggest paper size is 8.5 x 14 and I was already thinking that I'm gonna have to return it to get the large format printing one but thank God I found you 🙏🏽❤ thank you again!
You’re welcome. I’m happy to hear that my video helped you out. I hope you have fun with your new printer and sublimation. Thank you and enjoy the rest of your day sis.
when placing the sqaures my image is coming up colors that dont allow me to see my original image how can i make it transparent so i can see what im working with?
Great. Thank you. I have been trying to split a small garden flag with paper size of 8.5 x 11. I just can't get it to work. Could you do a video showing this? You are easy to follow.
Thanks so much I have been trying to learn how to do this! Can I ask how do you make your rectangle or square see through? mine are a solid colour? Thankyou
How is your box see-through? Mine comes up black so then i cant see my image once i put the box on top. I know it still may split ok but its nice to be able to see exactly where your putting it on the image. Any help is appreciated!
I am trying to do this but it is not working for me. For some reason when I select object, clip, set it deletes my photo completely instead of keeping the part in the gray square. Any idea why?
Good morning!!! So I followed all of the steps from your tutorial and everything is perfect except the overlap. I keep getting that wrong!!! I duplicate the square but for some reason I just can’t seem to get it right!!!
When I select the square it pops up blue which doesn’t allow me to see my image through it as yours is a light grey or transparent. How do I Chan the color of the square?
Hello and Thank you for this tutorial. I was confused when I got to the part to place it on the print square. It’s very small and square. My printer prints 8.5 x 16 and the image that I was trying to print was 14.5.
So this totally worked your awesome. Any clue how to get my Grey box to be see through likes yours mine is just a grey box and i cant see the other image when i do it
Thank!! This helped!! I did the same process to make a 20x15 but overlapping 4 pages I just couldn’t get the image right. Do you have tutorials for even larger images?
Yes and do; depends on how thick your overlap is…you don’t want a thick overlap, you want your edges to meet as close as possible to make the design while with no excessive paper overlapping
My opinion is to start over from the beginning. Not sure why it wouldn’t especially if you have done it several times with others. Also make sure when you’re selecting before clip you have the image on document page and select all 3.
@@amiebenning1332 we are not duplicating the image, we are duplicating the grey square, if you can’t duplicate the grey square create another square to cover the other half of your image. Or if it’s the duplicate after the entire image is covered in grey, make sure you drag it onto your blank document page the you make sure you’re clicking back on the arrow at the top left before you do your selection.
@@moniqueh5704 Be sure that you’re selecting all 3…the 2 squares and the image,. Try dragging it over the document page if it’s not there already and highlight and select all
After I get the image in place and select object-clip-set my entire image disappears. I also saw the comment listed about SVG so I tried one and on the same command it does perform it, but it's not in color just in a gray. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I've tried multiple times.
Yes I finally got it. The square has to remain on top and instead of me moving it to the back I was suppose to change the fill so I can see the image behind it! Thank you for the video cause it was VERY helpful!
Ok I’ve figured out how to change the color but it’s still sitting on top of my design covering it up. Is there a transparent gray or something in my settings off?
@@tikajoubert2473 to make it transparent you click on the box then on the bottom left you’ll see the word opacity a box + - to change the percentage which should make it clear
Are you talking about the grey square on top of the images. If not give me a time stamp on the video, so I can see if I can explain it better for you. Thank you.
