How to make yourself FLOAT in  

It wouldn’t look realistic if there were shadows they are good for 2d animation not for 3d

just add a shape with the circle effect and make it decrease as your friend float up

​@sevven. Fun fact: people shade 2D objects to appear more 3 dimensional. The original comment makes a valid point that adding a shadow would create more realism in this clip.
