You shouldve gave those away instead of wasting it...that blue eyes is roughly a bit expensive rn, atleast try to do it on a different card and not those valuable ones
@@Scalik: Well, I make proxies, and used to make my own tokens as well, so I've learned a few things. Since you're only planning on using the artwork, use "Pure Acetone", it's stronger than 'Nail Polish Removal". Use cotton balls instead. Just take one and dab some acetone on it, and then moisten the corners and edges. Then start slowly pick at the corners to peel the foil off. The acetone will weaken the cardboard part of the card, allowing you to carefully peel it off. Now the foil is prone to curling, so, you just need to carefully uncurl it and put something on it to flatten it out. With old school cards like those SDK Blue-Eyes, their ink is pretty tuff, so, acetone may not wipe off the ink as much, But, it can weaken the integrity of the cardboard, and causing some of the adhesiveness from the foil to become weak. Way easier and faster than running them under water. And, You should try scissors man. It's not that complex to make cuts around the artwork, lol.
The water method is not as Dangerous like the acetone method. You have to wear gloves and at least a facemask. For me the water method is the better Option to remove the paper, then with nailpolish remover i remove the holo effect to only have the Print on the foil. Now my Grapha, Dragonoverlord of Dark World is Starlight rare 😂 Thx rarity collection...
@@Derderkommentiert Well... I've been using the acetone method for a long time now, and have become a pro at it. I do not have to worry about gloves or a mask. In fact, I've altered my steps a bit. For me, time is everything, and I don't like spending all that time trying to remove the foil from the card. But, to each's own.
No it's has to be foil to have the correct layering for this. But you can rarity bump anything if you can find the card art. And use my other method to make them.
