My name is Anthony Chisnall. I'm a musician & songwriter.

I play the guitar (electric, acoustic, and bass), and record all of my own synth-based sounds myself too, but I can't sing very well (huge understatement!), and so my wife, Pauline, who has a lovely singing voice, has come to my rescue. You'll hear her on all of my songs.
All of my music is written in Steinberg's Cubase (currently Cubase Pro 13).
I try very hard to make my videos PRACTICAL and no-nonsense - if I don't use a feature, I'm not going to waste your time trying to sound like an expert on it! This is the stuff I use day-to-day, so I think that's also what you'd like to hear me talking about.

Great video thank you - I find TONEX and AmpliTube very good but also somewhat baffling in the basic functions so would welcome more videos on the practical usage of both - even down to simple things like searching for a particular sound, using effects in isolation, best way of saving configurations in an organized way etc.

To my ears Amplitube 5 is the best sounding amp sim perhaps because of the detailed speaker modelling. But you’re bang on about the preset system. In version 3 and 4 it put me off bothering with using the presets. That's a shame because a lot of them are quite good. Maybe the convoluted system has a lot to do with the Custom Shop? Custom Shop is a great both for users (buy what you need/want) and the company (more buying in general especially as most users are probably younger and might not have a lot of money to buy one of the full versions) But the company needs to have a think and sort it out.

I've only just found out about the true way to set the gain input on my external Soundcard for my guitar amp modelling software. It's made such a massive difference. You may want to offer your viewers that advice (which I'm sure you'll be aware of already).

I have made a general video about input levels (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-92nfgqXHx18.html), but it doesn't discuss the interface itself too much. (Actually the input options on my Focusrite are pretty limited - it doesn't even have an inst/line switch on the channels I use, so there's probably not much more I could usefully add.) If you think there's something particular I should cover I'm happy to take suggestions :)

ooooh you featuring IK stuff...nice. I am slowly building it up. the guitar stuff I only have the basic free yet (don't have a guitar)

I have a few guitar multi-effects bundles, but I think Amplitube is the best. IK Multimedia have pretty good sales from time to time, so it's worth keeping an eye out

@@OneManAndHisSongs I did have it on my list but I don't use guitar plugins or even own a guitar, so that might come later. But cool to feature it, ToneX is even bigger
