@@VideoEssayWatcher5484 unfortunstely this video isnt for everyone. What people who play this game a lot is that even mid-plat players cant do half of their weapon's true combos and even less how to confirm a kill
Hey Phazon, I cant find this answer anywhere so I decided to just ask here, is buffer chase dodge for d light nair/rec on gauntlets still a thing? Or did they patch buffer chase dodging?
something that helped me when trying to improve is playing other weapons, I'm a die hard scythe and gauntlets main and i tried out axe, I realised axe forces me to take my time and be patient to wait for attacks that are out of range, where with scythe i just throw random stuff out and i miss space a lot of attacks with gauntlets, so itrying different weapons lets you get a feel not only for how to space for weapons in general and building a tolerance to being pressured, but also how to counter the weapon, since the more you play a weapon, the better you get at it, and you see as you improve how people avoid the attacks, and thus you can piece together how to avoid them yourself
@@Black-stars From Mordex to Teros actually, I spared with someone occasionally and I usually always lose on Mordex as he really just doesn't like to approach, like he'd just run to the opp side of the map with katars, when I played Teros, or any hammer/axe weapon i was dominating every match, and I summed it up to me feeling less pressured and forcing myself to just wait a bit more
Amazing video!! On 9 dex hammer, a falling sair into dlight is a true combo. By utilizing that dlight->CD sair combo in the video, you could theoretically have a 5 piece true combo on 9 dex Cassidy at 0 health! Dlight -> CD Sair -> Dlight -> Slight -> CD Nlight This would be broken if she had any other weapon other than blasters (:
For the battle boots one 7:31 (idk if its synced right or whatever) but the combos you actually see are (in order) : - Down Light (Active Input Downwards) > Neutral Light - Down Light (Active Input Downwards) > Side Light - Down Light (No AI) > Side Air (No AI) - Down Light (No AI) > Neutral Air - Down Light (No AI) > CD > Down Air (AI Down) - Down Light (No AI) > Recovery - Down Light (No AI) > GC Side Light (If Offstage near wall) - GC Down Light (No AI) > Ground Pound Wont lie, I think it's just the first 2 combos that aren't right but yeah 😅
i think also for blasters at the low level, people do not know how to capitalize off of connecting nlights and people do not use nair at all. get used to being able to reverse your aerial moves (specifically nair), and once you can comfortably do that try to work on nlight -> chase dodge diagonal (up+right/up+left) -> reverse nair
who are the two players who are recommended to watch for greatsword and katars? curious to see since i like playing mako and I wanna see if I can learn something from them
