Ricky, thanks for your comments. I’ve not covered this at all this year. Pros use side back arm method for two reasons. First, they’re not tall enough to stand over the shot and must defer to a side arm. It’s not a proper stroke in the first place. I wouldn’t teach it unless it was a last resort because side arm stroking is not a straight stroke. Second, they’ve never trained under a qualified trainer to teach them an alternate like dart jumping. I teach both and each method has its advantages and disadvantages. Proper training allows you to learn both then 0:03 use the one best for the specific shot situation. Sounds like you should consider someone on one to get the training you deserve.
