This was great, thanks. Nutcracker btw. I’m new to MLB the Show so really need these tips. I can now practice and really get down the physical game mechanics of pitching but still struggle with the pitch theory ie choice/placement - I currently just rely on the catcher advice. I’d really love to see you do a video on this 👍

Good video, Chev! I don’t know if you are able to do this, but I would suggest maybe having an camera on your joystick that shows what your thumbs are doing.

Do you use any type of Kontrol Freeks on your sticks?? Also do you recommend a wired connection for batting and pitching on the PS5? Nutcracker

I just got this for Xmas, I try to stay on HOF or AllStar. I'm a pretty decent hitter but my pitching blows. I'm using a lumpy 'ol controller but my tracing is yellow or even red most of the time. I wish there was a better throwing video. I seem to pull my 1st baseman off the bag far too often. Will somebody throw me a bone. I use a 65'" flat screen which probably not ideal and I'm 65 y/o. I want to be good at this game.

I gave it a try, but Pinpoint Pitching is impossible for me, but I can play Pure Analog on Legendary+ and pitch no-hitters, so I think I'll stick to that.

My issue is the second half of the movement. For some reason getting it down to the little circle doesn’t happen.. I wait just before the two circles touch and it still only gets half way.

Many people are saying it has to do with the controller. I ended up buying a PowerA enhanced wired controller from target for $30. Works perfectly fine, doesn’t stop half way when I use pinpoint pitching.

I am switching to pinpoint and starting to get it but I can’t throw breaking pitches out of the stretch any tips I feel like I have no time but it says I go too fast but it’s like I don’t have enough time to go slow

i think if you do control your sticks well he is slower from the strech, if you mess up it makes it seem quicker to the plate so you mess up. good game

Nutcracker Why us pinpoint pitching the way to go? I've went from meter to pulse but I'm still getting tagged by good players, especially when they have good cards. Like Fernando tatis, I just walk him cuz he's a walking bomb.

I never understand why people do these videos and keep the camera on them as opposed to the controller and hand which is what is important

@@OhChev sorry if that comes across as harsh I’m just super frustrated with pinpoint. I’ve had so many injuries to my hand that I just simply cannot move my thumb down in an accurate fashion. I wish we could invert pinpoint so it’s more old school like pure analog, because that motion i can do
