I’ve been working with color charts for many years now as they’ve been invaluable tools that have helped me match my A-cams, B-cams and even C-cams during multi-cam shoots. In this video I walk you through an interview I recently shot and tell you how I shot it, how I lit it and how I used color charts to match my FX6 and A7SIII in post. You’ll learn my process and will see step by step how to do this for yourself so that you can use charts in your next project.
Color charts aren’t just great for matching cameras, they are also great for making sure you’re simply getting perfectly accurate colors in each and every shot you take. And don’t just think they are only useful for interviews as they are wonderful tools for nailing color on essentially any shot. You may not use charts when you’re out running & gunning, but if you’re shooting a higher-end project, color charts will help you take your grades to the next level for you and your clients.
