How to Max your Runescape Account in 2024 [OSRS] 

I got some tips that might not be so obvious, specially the last one: 1- Start with slayer and quests. It will train your combat skills, and get you money, while also taking you around the map and getting you used to mechanics 2-After that start with the skills you like the least. I did thieving, rc and agility first. Everytime i am bored i check out my skills and see these are already maxed, and that motivated me for the next one 3- RC: do zmi with daeyalts. I got to 99 with over 90k xp/h. 30k xp/h vs 90k xp/h means months less in your grind, if you are like me and don't have hours and hours to play a day 4- Have weekly goals. Some days we can't play, but in others we can play more. Calculate your free time and xp/h. That way you can have an estimate of how long your grind will take 5- HAVE AN ALT: This is the most important imo. And i started late. Most skills are either afk or expensive. Which means you will need cash, while wasting time at the same time. If you make a garg alt and get 300k gp/h you will be able to get over 30M while training a stupid skill like agility. My advice is rune dragons alt. You will make over 100M doing agility alone. Agility will pay for prayer with a rd alt Mining and fishing will pay for construction wc will pay your herblore And you will have a lot more money from the other skills if you use an alt like rd or brutal black dragons.

my aproach was, do every skill half afk til 99 while watching comprehensive language input videos. after 2000 hours playing, you can learn 2 languages. thats why I personaly love osrs. there is so many ways to go about it in this game:)

My first 99 was fletching doing unstrung bows. I had a guy i met off zybez who wanted a constant supply of unstrung bows so he could alch so hed let me know what kind of bows he needed and thise would be the ones i made. Lol. The good ol pre ge days when you had to communicate with people to trade anything

Some notes/tips, particularly if you're lazy like me: Combats - nmz to the 90s if you want but don't make my mistake of slacking on slayer, makes for a really long grind later. Magic - if you really care about efficiency bring alchs everywhere you go so you're always gaining xp. I cbf to try to keep up with this, but something I did instead is magic imbue - lunar spellbook 82 mage, 12 second cd. If you do it somewhat close to when it comes off cd every time it's like 20k xp/hr that's very easy to maintain and fall into the habit of using while doing literally anything else. RC - like Paty said if you wanna do bloods do it before maxing crafting or mining. 1.2m xp in both for free is pretty huge. Construction - oak dungeon doors (74 con) are way cheaper than mahog and are still 400k xp/hr. You can angle your camera so you don't need to move your mouse, put a weight on the "1" key, and just right click->left click x2 -> left click -> repeat. 77 (mahog bench) to 99 with mahogs costs almost 200m, and 77-99 with oaks costs 70-80m. Slower sure but unless you're rich why waste that much gp to make a very fast skill very faster. Thieving - you can still fully spam click, it just takes a bit more setup. There are guides on this but basically set your layout to "resizable - modern" so your inventory is collapsible, bind escape to inventory and check "esc closes interface". Now line up the knight with the top slot of your inventory, put a weight on your esc key - this flickers your inventory open and closed so some of your clicks will be opening coin pouches as you get them - and click away. Oh and definitely do kingdom divided first to have access to the "shadow veil" spell if you want to use good money making methods in the 90s or if you're lower level at knights and have to stop and click to eat anyways. Slayer - venator bow is insane for afk slayer. Like actually afk not """"""bursting is afk"""""" like some nerds claim (it's not. at all.). Not good dps, not high xp/hr, but you can attack one abyssal demon/dagganoth/bloodveld/almost anything in catacombs and check back every 3 minutes to sip prayer and before you know it your task is done. Hunting - don't slack on birbhouses. Don't go nuts on them but do like 2 runs per day and you'll get hunter up really fast passively. Fishing - 100% do barb fishing unless you're an iron. 1m agi xp that's literally free is so nice to have. Farming - I did papayas+calquats+mahogs to 99. Very cheap/easy/quick runs you don't have to think about. You're going to finish farming quickly relative to the rest of your skills so there's 0 reason to blow 10s of mills planting magic and dragonfruit trees. Thanks for this video i am a veteran myself but i still yet to hit a 99 stat with all the years and time that i have played. But i love the pking scene and it feels great to know that i can get the quest skill cape and still have a barrows/dragonfire shield pure at the same time. Ive still yet to finish my berserker pure. But my barrows pure would be sorta like my main where i can do whatever and still pk. Thanks man, quest skillcape here we come. I have not played osrs in 5 years!

Just got back into OSRS yesterday. I remember sitting in the back of class in college a couple years ago just fishing sharks in the fishing guild while taking notes lmao. Pretty good money and cooking xp for going to class.

Love the video, I have done my account all for money though so so much is different, I already got 99 crafting going jewelery all the way and 99 fletching only stringing bows, and 92 cleaning herbs the whole way and now making antifires the only profitable potion and made a good profit on both, I have so much extra money that I go into slayer gear or other skilling money makers, the only skill I spend money on is con doing mahogany homes easys and prayer after I got 85-99 firemaking making a profit crafting prayer.

I also maxed recently as well (returned to the game and maxed in about 1.5yrs) ..but I was someone who likes straight shotting 99s. However, I missed out on a lot of the game (GWD, most slayer bosses, etc.) and dont really have the motivation to do them now. Take your time, enjoy the game! I started an ironman to dive into the PvM I skipped over on my main (smh, right) Happy maxing

My goal is to max but I frame it as "I will eventually max" and play the game how I want I farmed bosses (DT2 Kicked me off) - training my combats (almost 126 cb) I learned HS - and now enjoy training agility Now I'm enjoying Shooting stars, never though I'd enjoy mining but this is nice I will max, but I will have fun doing it

Optimal Quest order is OP btw. Tells you best order to do quest that lines up Xp rewards with what you are doing next, even tells you what to put lamps on and when to do diaries too.

I have been rolling a digital 1Dn (with n being the number of skills I have left) then grinding one level of that skill before rolling again. Helps keep things from getting too stale. and if I roll a combat stat, or slayer, I do slayer until I level up any of the combat or slayer skills i have left

My main I had for around 15 years wasn’t maxed but I had a lot done. Got my first 99 on it, did all the big quests and got hacked. Re started with a new account and my focus is all easy diaries and RFD. Once diaries are done I move to the mediums, it just keeps you constantly having to work towards something. I set up skill goals, quests to be done and other things that need to be done before I can grind all diaries in a day. I’m constantly working towards it and skilling throughout the game and it’s keeping it fun as I start to unlock more and more as i go.

I would use a crystal 2h axe at redwoods now that they exist. You can keep the forestry rations in your invent or forestry pack. You wont get events here, but the axe makes it very afk and super great xp. If I didn't already have 2x pet I would be loving it here when I needed to afk

my account is 2120 total level right now. initially i just wanted to play the game for fun. eventually i decided i wanted the quest cape. then i went for the diary cape and 99 slayer. now im just pet hunting and working on getting my skills up 1 at a time. first i got base 85s, then 86s, 87, 88, etc. it worked great, i havent burnt myself out or gone broke because im always doing a different skill or boss not just 1 skill for weeks.

Just got 99 slayer which got me 99 str, hp, range, and mage. Workijg on attack next for cb and then gonna do fishing, wc, and cooking

5:39 fang beats out the whip (and even arclight on _some_ demon tasks) on a lot of higher level slayer tasks depending on ur stats and gear. For instance im 90/95/90 and when i wear pros top, tassets, fire cape, d boots, b ring, dragon def, ferocious gloves, and a torture: fang beats out whip on abby demons, abberrant specters, gargoyles, black demons, and im sure others im forgetting of the top of my head. With slightly different gear that can change so i have a dps calculator spreadsheet copy devoted just to analyzing fang vs whip. Its also worth keeping mind basically any easy to use dps calculator does not calculate fang or enchanted bolts dps correctly. So if you’re using a dps plugin and fang _slightly_ underperforms whip, the odds are it’s actually higher dps. And im sure u could get higher dps w a saeldor/mace/rapier at different mobs but idk… i cant afford 80mil+ on very specific use case weapons. 25m for an item thats gonna be top 3 bis melee at every raid and most bosses and out performs whip at like half of ur non-skip non-blocked duradel tasks is totally worth it

Slow n steady wins the race in my case like a snail and foced around gear and grinding in exchange of 1b+ gp my skills are F but my pvm skills are A+ not the route id ever suggest money over levels but aye it worked for me it wont for everyone else.

For fishing i highly reccomend fully afk barb fishing outside of CoX, bank the fish so you don't have to click to drop your inventory. You can one click the bank and the xp rates are pretty good, you also get around 1m agi and strength xp doing this method. I did this from like 80-99 and i did it all while playing other games or doing school stuff

The video is right, start with optimal path to quest cape. After all quests are done it sets you up for ez end gaming. I have maxed 6 times in Rs3 and 4 in Osrs. Trust.

Hope this approach helps because it did for me,any skill that you hate wither it’s agility,RC or fishing make it a daily of some sort like 1 hour minimum every day.

The happiness you feel coming back to the game is un-matched. When you get burned out, you feel depleted but when you come back, there’s a new spark that is just the best feeling

He didn't mention it but for those of u who want more of a afk experience and more xp overall with woodcutting. You can buy a felling handle from the forestry event or the G.E. get urself a forestry backpack and load it up with rations for more xp and chances to not receive a log.

First point is valid, you could do SO much in life with that time spent

About the fang, after checking it in dps calc, it's still overall higher damage per second than the rapier in most of the Duradel tasks and if it's not, it's usually very marginal lose. Notice that the calc were done with somewhat affordable gear like bandos and fire cape because most of the players can't afford torva and get the infernal cape and the more "str" bonus you have the better rapier will get. While using prayer gear I would always stick to the fang, due to way lower "str" bonus, the fang is getting even bigger edge over the rapier. The same story goes while comparing the fang with dragonhunter lance. The higher your "str" bonus the better the lance is, the lower you "str" the better the fang is and at some point it ends up outperforming the lance while fighting dragons.

karambwan with fish barrel is super nice for like 2 mins of afk and around 35k to 40k xp/h

Oh I fully expect to be one of the types of players that needs 90+ attempts at inferno I suck and hate the combat in this game but somehow still feel determined to push through and get better at it.

One thing I would like to add, fang has a higher dps than a whip in most cases. The whip is only better for very low defence monsters like ammonite crabs.

Put in a massive buy order of headless arrows and whatever arrowtips you want to make (I made amethyst ones) before you do herbiboar, it makes it 100x more fun and you're done with fletching before you're even done with the hunter grind, or just try rumours they're fun. for fishing if you want to actively click you can 2 tick harpoon in piscarilius which is way more xp/h than you get elsewhere, just very click intensive since it's 2t obviously

You mention to 'not be that guy using a fang for slayer tasks'. It's worth sitting down with the dps calculator for a bit and comparing its output to your other options. For me, Bloodveld are pretty much the only melee task I complete for which whip is better than fang.

Surprised you didn't mention venator bow for slayer ranged.

As someone that maxed in rs2 and rs3 and coming back to osrs to finish up i think something that goes unsaid is that maxing comes with time and GP. Play the game and get good at the different aspects like PVM so that you can afford methods of training. Geting a maxed account is a marathon not a sprint

If you're someone who needs a guide on how to max, then these high xp/high gp methods are basically not gonna happen... Do bows for fletching, why not chill and afk AND profit for another skill?

22:20 u gotta do wines for cooking man! trying to stack up the biggest xp drops u can is so fun and u can easily do it while watching tv even if its _sort of_ click intensive? it also costs like 1mil or something ridiculously cheap.

Doing slayer with the fang as opposed to whip or d scim is way better. If you have enough for sythe etc, then by all means. The fang is an upgrade to whip & abyssal dagger for sure.

For fishing, dark crabs really unlocked the skill for me. The requirements are high, as you need wilderness elite diary for it to be any good. But it is 40k/h basically completely afk. Much less banking time than karambwans, which is why I prefer crabs over them. Pkers are rarely seen there, and if you only bring 200-300 dark fishing bait, the pkers can celebrate over their 50-100k kill if they really want to waste their time 😁

legit splashed 95% of the time for my mage cape.. looking for something as afk has been near impossible, guess i gotta actually play now lol.

Heavily considering maxing as my account is just over 2k total level with several 99s already. Iv also been getting into higher level pvm and raids recently so I might actually have the cash flow to do it now.

For mains: if you need money and are looking at getting 99 fletching and magic, fletch and string magic longbows when you can (90-something) and high alch them for profit. It's not fast, but you'll end up with a stack of bows if you need a couple mil for gear, supplies, skilling, etc. You don't have to do them in one go and the bowstrings are worth buying over spinning flax, unless you have access to the lunar spellbook (more magic xp). Just depends on what you want from the skill in terms of time or profit, but it can be a decent way to grow your cash stack while doing chores around the house, especially on mobile. The money could still be decent for irons, but having never played as one, I can't comment on how feasible this is.

A high lvl.version of.splashing is kraken pool. You get full xp as if you were doing dmg but don't need to lower mage att and its 100% safe aswell.juat requires slayer lvl and kraken task

I got ab 30 quests left, but only hard one is DT2, others include elemental workshop and what not. 113 cb account is 15 1/2 years old😂 lots of "breaks"

I almost deironed out of burnout. I made another account and I'm happy that I can just afk while playing a normie account with extra cash provided by my iron. And I made the unfinished potion myself on the iron until 86 herblore XD

I took a break for a while but I just want to get a few levels a day in skills. And when I gets to 92 I was gonna maybe take 1 or two days per level. Though I’m dreading Runecrafting, Agility and Mining. Never seen the point in pulling an all nighter to hit a decent checkpoint in a skill. I just do 3/4 hours per day.

Quests are so much fun, some are very funny. If you dislike quests, remember its only once. Vs skilling which is the sorta same from now until the end of time.

I've been playing since 2004 started playing on classic and never started playing RS3 I have taken about 5 brakes that lasted anywhere from one year to 4 years I think the last break I took which I only came back from a week ago was the longest and that was 1650 days my combat level is 104 I have about 86 Quest points the last thing I did before my 1600 day break was complete a bunch of quests in a really short time. Up to getting ancient Magic by completing desert treasure and completing all but two of The Recipe for Disaster quest gaining up to adamant gloves I also did a lot of AFK nightmare Zone which will really burn you out I also obtained my fire Cape which took over 20 attempts and each attempt I was always able to get to jad so every attempt was like 2 hours my account has 26 total days played and I had an account that was even more play time that was banned then my RuneScape classic account which probably had at least 20 total days played on it if not more so I probably have close to 150 total days of playing when I say days I mean 24 hours * 150 the most satisfying thing to do even if it isn't Fun while you're doing it is quests and achievements because once you finally buckle down and do them they are done for good

Wanted to throw out Drift Net fishing for Fishing & Hunter XP. About 80-100k fishing xp and 130-150k hunter xp per hour after lvl 70. You’ll lose money but it’s worth mentioning in my opinion.

My first skill I was close to 99ing was mining on my free to play account. Now I started over because I lost access to that account somehow.
