i just got ktag as well, just came in the mail yesterday lol. i got it to do med17 and edc17 immo off.. using the test clip is still the easiest for me7, med9 ,edc15/16 in my opinion but this is another way
Dude your amazing and learning so much from you. Is this turning off your EGR? Also I noticed you said that’s a cheaper Ross tech cable. Can you feel me in the cheapest way to Ross tech VCDS?
This is removing the immobilizer so u can plug the ecu into any 1.8t car It’s the blue kkl cable u can get from eBay or Amazon for cheap and then u use vcds lite with it Doesn’t have all the features but does some very useful stuff Or u can buy a lite version from them that does a little more
@@ERAutomotive Thanks for the info. I just bought that OBDELEVEN pro for android/IOS however doesn’t seem like it works like it does on iOS like originally suited android. Thinking about returning it as I don’t want to buy android anything for better operation… Think Im going return it and apply it to vcds.
I'm having some issues getting eeprom to work. I downloaded the github file but when i open the exe it doesn't create a directory--do i need to do that manually?
I have k tag and use it well but I cannot find the software that you were able to use to change code on the eprom that you read with ktag? Can you help or if I send you the file can you shut immo off and send it back ?
Love you videos bro learn alot from them I got a edc16 been trying to remove immo I have ktag but not the bdm plate and kess and car prog and mpps could you do a video on edc16 or help me please lol dad put a 1.9tdi bls engine in his 2.0sdi caddy need to remove immo for ecu to work, or would it be possible to write a 1.9tdi file to a 2.0 sdi ecu?
All I have is an mpps v16, tricore and a kkl cable. I want to be able to immo off for flash tuning of spare ecus for learning purposes. Would a Ktag and bdm frame be my best, also cheapest solution lol. Thanks for sharing your experience in these videos.
@@ERAutomotive I just bought ktag, bdm frame with Bosch pcb connectors. I will be dealing with me7.5 as well as edc16u31 hence asking about the frame, I’m not trying to brick ecus as I’m a beginner which is why I’ve quickly chose to switch from Mpps flash to ktag. I’d rather put in the prep work for a better, more reliable result. Thanks for the quick reply

Hi thanks for the videos the are very helpful, i have done a couple ME 7.5 ecus but when i try to do ME 7.1.1 i get a error using ept tool any idea how to get it to decode that EEPROM file? maybe a command line is different for that ecu?
Yes u can buy I use carprog But there is lots of other options www.amazon.ca/SOIC8-EEPROM-CH341A-Programmer-Module/dp/B07LH72MR5 That’s just an example I don’t have that one Just so u get the idea of what I mean

Nice day. I made immo off a jetta mk5 2008. To start the car that I have to disconnect in the instrument panel, in the ECu or in another module?. Please my jetta won't start.
@@ERAutomotive tried this also tried powering the ecu without pin 3 with pin 24 grounded then connected pin 3 while grounding 24, removing ground from 24 and still nothing,
