You can put it any port, but generally port 1 is preferable, due to default calibration

Hi i have 2 question to ask. 1. What connector type does the microstrip patch antenna usually use to connect to the VNA? Is it SMA Female? 2. How about to test coaxial type feed patch antenna? Have you tried testing it? Thank you. Love from Malaysia.

1. SMA female on patch since cable with VNA is generally SMA male. 2. These cables are different type of Coax with diff impedances, but generally VNA are 50 ohm, so that's why its either N type or SMA

sir i have an antenna with good result in hfss but is it possible predict if the antenna gives good mesurment befor the fabrication or we will not know that till we fabrication the antenna ? ( i dont want lost my money in fabrivation and finnaly the antenna doesnt work )

You will not know until you get the fabricated antenna,

aoa sir can you explain a bit some more? like what does it mean when the resonance is less than 10dB? and what does it mean if it's at 0? or maybe greater which isnt possible.

Less than -10 dB means that less than 10% of the signal is reflecting back

Port 1, but you can put it on either port, depends on your calibration

You need to use Anechoic Chamber, but I will eventually made a video where we can measure antenna gain using SDR

You can put it on any port but use port 1 , so you can see S11, id you put it on port 2 then you look at S22, antenna is a single port device
