It’s nice to see a young man traveling around the world trying to understand all different cultures in his own way. I enjoyed what you found about Japan. Keep healthy.
This was very interesting! And you've presented it well ❤ admittedly, I've had some wrong misconceptions about them. Huge level of respect for their intense training to the path of a being a true geisha too. Nice episode, my friend 👍🏻
Very interesting to hear all the facts about the Geisha's in Japan, I didn't know it was such a long road to become a real Geisha, must be fascinating to see a real one, but indeed most likely you run into a fake one like me, when we where in Japan we saw many posing for pictures, they must have been the fake one, but at least they were available for some good shots 😀🌞 Big thump up my friend! 👍🌟🌞
This was an awesome one! Kind of an "everything you wanted to know about geishas but were afraid to ask" kind of thing. And we definitely had some incorrect preconceptions, so we're really glad you set us straight 👏
Oh wow, that was so fascinating and illuminating. You were so interesting to listen to and very witty. You've blown so many misconceptions out of the water. Thank you for a really enjoyable video - I've really learnt a lot! 😊👍🌸
This is awesome video and very informative and interesting content, nice to know about the Geisha a Japanese Women. I see from the movie I see a beautiful Geisha they are intertaining visitor's and they showed the culture and traditions
Thank you so much for uploading today such an interesting content about a real Geisha. I really enjoy watching this till the end.It must be very fascinating to see all of these in reality. So expensive for me .Mega thumbs up for this content.
Hey Mr. Welshman this is really very informative and and interesting, I would love to see the real geisha when I travel in Japan. Thanks for sharing mate!
Geisha looks so cute and shy. Thank you for always showing us the things that we've not yet seen, i learned many things in your vlog about the world, keep sharing my friend! God bless you and keep yourself healthy!
This was fascinating. I have of course heard of Geisha culture and seen them in movies and such. But I learned so much I didn't know about them in this video. Thanks for sharing this!
Very interesting video and so detailed about Geisha, their lives, how to find them and how to recognize them! I surely did not know all these staff! I liked very much the street view too! Top work my friend! Looking forward to your next! Friendly greetings,Leftis
Great guide on how to meet a Japanese geisha, I am pleasantly surprised by this wonderful content, I am glad that I discovered so much information about Japanese cultures and their traditions. I enjoyed watching your stunning presentation, Have a beautiful and successful week!
Wow! This is absolutely fascinating. What an incredible experience. I always look forward to your videos, your footage is always just mind blowing great quality, but I also learn so much. You are a great narrator teaching us and so respectful and eager to learn about other cultures. So interesting that the costs just get charged monthly to the customers bank account. I had no idea a geisha was actually a high class expensive experience. Also had no idea there would be lots of fakes! Thank you for sharing with us 😊
Wow thank you so much! It is most definitely a more luxury occasion, and sadly one I couldn't afford 😥 such a wonderful culture though! Thank you so much, I really appreciate your support my friend 😁✌🏻
This is a gem, my friend, who do not want to know the answer to this title!? I didn't know that the number of places for true geisha experience is dwindling, but know enough to have the utmost respect for what lies behind such the occupation in terms of work and dedication. The amount of talent on so many areas these women must have (although not English speaking)! So there's really no easy (=cheap) way for common tourists to get a good peek into this world, except for the specially prepared shows just for tourists? I had no idea! Meoko or Geiko, I'd be happy nevertheless, if the amount on the bill had no mood-altering effects. Just not a fake Geisha 😄 Wonderful video build-up and performance all through, my friend, as usual. Huge like from us here in Bangkok!
I was hoping it would grab people's attention! They really have so much commitment to their craft! Well the event I saw a maiko was arranged by our hostel (for free somehow) as a brief meet and greet rather than a full evenings performance, but certainly good enough for me! Thank you so much, I really appreciate your support my friend 😁✌🏻
I fully enjoyed your informative video and learning more about the Japanese Geisha and the Japanese culture! You definitely learn something new each day. Even though they're not all real, it's still great to get a picture and pose with one haha. Thank your for sharing your helpful tips and experience with us! Like 83 😄
Wow never ever knew so much about Geishas.. Good to know that tourists get to go there too ( I was wondering initially where would I find a trusted guarantor).. Glad there are cheaper options too… Thanks for the share.. Love it..
I am sure that it's a matter of time until you will go viral my dear, your videos are better and better, this one was extremely captivating, and you presented it so well, you provided so much information that I had no clue about and you made me curious about geishas. I will start travelling in winter and maybe I will do it full-time this time, I just need to find the right way to do it as I have a mortgage to pay as well. But I feel that my soul wants to travel and share stories from around the world so yeah, we will see what happens. Back to you, interesting that Geishas still exists as such, and they even start at 15 years old and it takes a long time to actually become one, wow, impressive! I almost want to go to Japan and try becoming a geisha in 1 month, how cool would take be (a video like that I mean) :) OMG they cost a fortune, definitely for wealthy people! Yes, one would need a loan to hire them! True, they are business women after all! ha,ha fake geishas! ''Begging'' for attention! Beautiful video, you smashed it Tom! Well done!
You continue to warm my heart with your beautiful comments! You really do give me the inspiration to continue with my work! I'm so happy to hear that you are planning to get back on the road for a long period of time, your channel really has grown leaps and bounds since you have been filming in the Middle East! I can't wait to see more of your adventures! ! It's really a beautiful piece of Japanese culture, and I feel so lucky being able to see it myself! Thank you so much, I really appreciate your support my friend 😁✌🏻
Wow, I learnt more new things from you about Geisha and the banning of taking pictures of them in public. You have a great sense of humor, I wouldn't be surprised if you start writing materials for stand up comedy. I love your observation details and your storytelling is captivating.
It's a shame that it's a rule but a necessary one! That very sweet of you to say, but I don't have the confidence to do that! 😅 Thank you so much, I really appreciate your support my friend 😁✌🏻
Geisha is one of the special cultures unique to Japan.. It is a very special experience to experience the culture of another country and understand the life there. Thanks for sharing.. Really enjoy watching.
I am amazed knowing this wonderful Japanese tradition. I love learning different traditions and thanks for sharing all your insights and knowledge about Geisha.
This focus and information on the Japanese Geisha is really interesting. I have always been attracted to her charm and mystery that is hidden in this figure and woman. But I have always admired the famous film "Diary of a Geisha" to understand the culture and tradition of this figure. Good start to the week my friend.
I found the video very interesting. When I went to Kyoto, I ran into the real ones in a hurry that went discreetly in little crowded places. The good thing is that I had read about them and I did not ask for photos. I love to see how this tradition continues to live and that people try to keep it as is, without being modified. Thanks for sharing such valuable information.
It really is an honour to see one, and it feels like such a miracle being able to see a real one skipping through the streets! Thank you so much my friend for your support!
I am always fascinated with Geisha, I think they are very well disciplined beautiful to see them. You are fortunate to be able to see them. Thanks for sharing this video. Well done.
Excellent and professional documentary about a subject that might be seen as controversial. Nice job on not committing those obvious cultural objections Welshman! Bravo. 🎯📺💯
Answers to questions I didn't know I had. I was shocked at the price. Is that a group rate? Honestly, I had some misconceptions but that probably stems from the movies. Excellent narration. The sub button is gray👍💯😎🐲
I believe that is per Geisha, otherwise it would be a ridiculously expensive affair!! 😅 Thank you so much my friend, I really appreciate your kind support 😁✌🏻
Very neat. They are so beautiful. I had know idea about the history of Geishas. It was very interesting. Thank you for sharing. I think I will need to add a Geisha show to my bucket list.
It is a very special experience to experience the culture of another country and understand the life there. Thanks for sharing.. Really enjoy watching.
Most of your videos are well produced. I learned that Japanese Geisha will be trained in young age and will be educated. They have to carry interesting conversation to the patron.
Thank you for giving the viewers interesting and valuable insights, into an unique Japanese tradition. Fascinating to know the long years of training they have to undergo. I had watched a documentary on the TV (probably the History Channel) regarding the Japanese Geisha. And must admit, that your research, content and presentation is outstanding and fun to watch. You are an amazing filmmaker. A big like 149 👍🏻👍🏻 and Best wishes from FLC Renaissance.
It really is such a fascinating and mysterious culture, I feel so lucky being able to experience it! Once again, your words never fail to warm my heart! Thank you so much as always 😁✌🏻
I enjoyed watching your interesting video....and now i know more about the Japanese culture and Japanese Geisha. It's a great experience . Beautifully presented.👍 Thanks for sharing. Have a nice weekend. 👌Greetings, JP
It sounds like great dedication to become a geisha. You don’t realize what’s involved unless your educated about t. Thank you so much for sharing. It’s intriguing. 👍😊🇨🇦
This video must have taken a lot of time to prepare and it shows how well all the facts are documented and provided... a great video and wishing you a great weekend ahead
Wow so much information you shared about Geisha. Travelling is one thing and getting to the root of the culture and place is different which is exactly what you are doing. Keep up the good work.
i attended the geisha show you mentioned i Kyoto and it was pretty cheap and good way to have some experience of the culture without destroying my wallet. LOL Tom seriously one day you and me and going to Paris with baguettes and berets and shooting a video. that would be freaking hilarious. Actually young Japanese people are an interesting lot and i dont think people are trying to be 'fake' geishas, they feel its part of the cultural experience and you will see many Japanese tourists dressing up as Geishas (and happy to pose for photos) and they are not trying to trick anyone, it's a sort of cosplay. when i was in Kyoto i did spot one or two geishas out in the pocket of Kyoto, although this was probably because it was right after the March 2011 tsunami and they were collecting donations. i took a couple of pics from a distance i was with a guide who said it would be okay. of course, that was 11 years ago now. great video dude. now I have a new place to go on my bucket list, I MUST visit the wall you do your 'to camera' stuff too! :)
That would be so funny 🤣 you're right about that! I don't think they're trying to trick anyone, more that people might think they would have met a real Geisha rather than someone dresses up as one. But to be fair, if didn't spot a real one running by I would have been fooled by them too! 🤣 Thank you so much, I really appreciate your support my friend 😁✌🏻
Hello my friend. So interesting to hear all the facts about the Geisha's in Japan. Such a very informative and interesting video. Thanks, for sharing with us.
This is quite educational and informative, knowing about the origin of geisha and how to identify the real and the fake ones, as well as shedding light on the Geisha misconception. Thank you very much! Have a great week!
Great video! 🎬 So informative and well-researched, I loved learning about the history and tradition of the Geisha. The footage of Kyoto was breathtaking. 👀 Can't wait to visit and maybe even catch a glimpse of a real Geisha! 💕 Respectful and educational, keep up the good work! 🙌👍

WoW! Very interesting contents! I know it roughly, but thank you for solving my curiousity about Japanese Geisha that I didn't know exactly! Wow that really was amazing to hear all about the Geisha. You really gave a great talk on them and cleared up so many misconceptions that i had about them ! I didn't know that it was 5 years training and that it cost so much to spend time with one . Liked how you called yourself a cup noodle eating backpacker 😄 That was so so interesting , thanks :) 👍👏 ~ Anna
They really have a fascinating Culture! It is pretty stunning being able to see one in person! I'm a cup noodle eating backpacker through-and-through! Thank you as always my friend
Very informative content thank you for sharing. There are so many interesting tradition and culture to know about Japan. Thank you for sharing. Sending support and best wishes from a new follower. Stay connected
Love that doco-style video you just produced👌. Lots of really interesting facts and anecdotes about the Geishas and Mikos, and some I was totally unaware of like the US GIs stories that gave the Geishas that false reputation of being high-class prostitutes. Totally enthralling all the way through and loved your comments about the 'flaming sambuccas' (had way to many of these suckers in the past😂) and the Instagram attention seeking fake Geisha...Gold😁 Really well done mate. Great job👍.
I was fascinating to learn about the GIs myself! Though they do have quite a fascinating culture! Thank you so much my friend, I really appreciate your kind support 😁✌🏻
I feel like I learned about Japan that Japanese people don't know about 😊 Thank you for the wonderful video 👍 I've subscribed, so I'm looking forward to the update 👏
