Hi Christine. The elements are silicon carbide, common emery wheel/grinding wheel available at hardware shops. The silicon carbide can be cut with a grinder with a ceramic cutting disk fitted. Feel free to ask as many questions as you want. Thank you for watching 🤗
So, question. When you fuse glass this way, can it be chipped and knapped into an arrowhead shape? Because I make arrows out of glass bottles and I simply abhor the waste glass that comes from the production of a single arrow. You basically can use only the bottoms of the bottle, nothing else.
@@thebeachfishing Thanks a lot! I'm trying to find the video 😅.. I do have the same kind of bricks😉 but, what about the long side stones around the perimeter of the inside of the oven, what kind of material is this? Is it carburo de silicio/green silicon carbide, the one used for polishing glass? Thanks a lot for your time and all of these info!! 🤩🥳😍
Hi Miriam. The elements are made from silicone carbide. I'll make a video for you to show you how. Thanks so much for watching. Please subscribe, I'll show you the whole process :)
Full thickness red stained glass blocks too much light, so long ago they learned to coat a clear base of glass with thinner red glass so more light can pass get through. In this case, 1 layer of clear glass and 1 layer of red glass between the two layers of the same lighter colored pieces would probably result in a pendant with the same uniform thickness but a lighter shade of red of red in the middle.
Hi Chris. Thanks for watching. This is spectrum glass and ordinary marbles. Bottle glass and window glass works too. The important thing is not to mix different types of glass with different contraction rates. I'll make a video using bottle glass for you, or any other glass you suggest. Thanks again for watching, please be so kind as to subscibe. Thank you
