I microneedle every 7-10 days depending on how lazy I feel. Use a new needle attachment each time you microneedle; do not reuse them. Wait 24hrs after microneedling before using any topicals.

You can reuse the needles 3 to 4 times depending on how much they are used. You just need to make sure the cartridge is properly cleaned and sterilised. When the needles start to get blunt they will cause more pain and obviously need changing.

from my dermastamp experience: you can wipe a finished area with an antiseptic wipe (i spray isopropyl alc on toilet paper) right after you're done with it and this will remove most of the blood. The skin stays red but you don't look butchered. If you wait until you're done with the whole scalp then the blood will already have dried so go area by area.

If you read the manual it says NOT to do the circular motion because it can mess up the cartridge. That technique is for only the face
@thebroscientist8023
@thebroscientist8023 3 месяца назад
Indeed it does. However, I have found this technique to still be effective and covers a lot more ground faster. The concern about circular motion should be considered by individuals with thick or curly hair, where the needles may slow down in the hair. This will be noticeable because either you’ll hear the motor slow down or the cartridge will come out completely. Thanks for pointing that out, though.

Hey man, thanks for the video! Could you go over how you clean this thing? In the Derminator 2 doc, they mentioned using ethanol (which is super expensive in the states) or using isopropyl alcohol, so long as the alcohol isn't more than 40% or something. But I'm having a hard time finding that and not sure if I can just dilute it with tap water or not. I'm curious how you clean it. thanks!
@thebroscientist8023
@thebroscientist8023 Год назад
When I reused it I would rinse it off with tap water after each use, and then when it came time to microneedle again I would douse it with 70% isopropyl alcohol a day ahead of time so it was dry by the time I was ready to microneedle. I found that using it more than twice resulted in excessive bleeding from dulling of the needles, so I stopped reusing them in general.

@thebroscientist8023
@thebroscientist8023 8 месяцев назад
I found that rinsing them with tap water after use and then sanitizing it with rubbing alcohol before use (allowing time to dry) let me squeeze an extra use out of a cartridge. I don’t recommend using a cartridge more than two times due to the fact that the needles rapidly dull and cause excessive bleeding, and perhaps scarring. I personally change mine with a new one every time. But I get they are expensive
@TheSixthSLoT

@thebroscientist8023
@thebroscientist8023 6 месяцев назад
Once/week initially, then you can do once every two weeks-1 month for maintenance. You can technically reuse the cartridge by rinsing it and then soaking it rubbing alcohol (long before you intend on using it again, or it’ll hurt). I wouldn’t recommend using it more than twice; the needles will dull and you’ll bleed excessively. I personally use each cartridge only once.

I would recommend trying some detoxing and working on your gut health as well. I recently went to a doctor who diagnosed my hair loss as androgenic alopecia (basically hair loss via DHT). However after starting to detox my gut and fixing my diet a bit my hair started to grow back almost instantly. I'm assuming it was because I drastically reduced inflammation in the body. I think that just being a man and having DHT creating inflammation in the scalp makes you more susceptible to losing your hair. However, it seems your chances of keeping your hair are much higher if you don't have a toxic gut. I think that some people are just going to lose their hair regardless though due to extreme sensitivity to DHT. Just my two cents.

@thebroscientist8023
@thebroscientist8023 9 дней назад
I don’t have any scientific grounds for doing 1.5 over 1 besides it could possibly induce more growth factors and blood flow. If someone is utilizing topicals, it might actually be wiser to go a bit more shallow so you have less systemic absorption. I would consider 1.5mm aggressive, 1mm moderate, and 0.5mm least effective. But that’s just my personal opinion.

@Joel_M1991
@Joel_M1991 10 месяцев назад
@thebroscientist8023 thanks for the reply... no, I use new cartridge every time and only go down to 0.75mm. It must be a technique issue. I don't experience scabbing everywhere, just in some places like my hairline and crown. Although, I don't wash afterwards so that may impact how scabbing forms. It's not dry blood, as the scabbing can linger for a day or two.

It got delivered December 28th. I had to sign for it, which I wasn’t home to do so I had to go pick it up at the usps store and sign… SO I’ve been using it, on my boyfriend, he doesn’t want to lose his hair. So we started out once a week for about the last 2.5 months. Some weeks I forgot to do it. But I always use the 9 needles. And I started out on medium speed at .50 in the back of his head up and .25 in the front because it’s more sensitive. Now, I’m at .75 up to 2 times a week, and there’s more baby hairs ! 😊 I know how it’s hard to lose hair, alopecia runs in my family and my hair is thin but luckily my dad had lots of thic, strong, black hair and I don’t have as thin of hair as my mom… and all my uncles are bald. 😭😂 they joke all the time ab it, they went bald when they were around 18… Hair matters, it gives us confidence and makes us feel beautiful ⭐️✨ there’s no shame in maintaining and pursuing your own happiness and comfort

You can rinse after use with tap water and then soak in 70% isopropyl alcohol before allowing it to dry, just prior to your next session. Why are you dragging the Derminator? You're basically scrapping your skin with ultra sharp needless across your skin....do the stamp method instead by going up and down as that gives you cleaner punctures, less damage to your skin and roots and quicker to heal as well. Dragging derma pens is like derma rollers where it just slices your skin.
