Hi friend, thanks for mentioning me! I’m happy you liked my video and custom adjustments and I hope your viewers also can appreciate it! Have a awesome day and I see you soon!
Can we give this man a knighthood? I wasted a whole day trying to solve this issue, host site couldn't help me, reading multiple articles and watching multiple videos couldn't help me. Finally resolved because of this video. Thank you so much!
Solution to "incompatible package" that worked for me (windows user): 1. install plugin "wp downgrade" 2. go to settings -> wp downgrade -> version 6.4.2 3. unzip Ferdy's zip file on your computer and check if there's an unnecessary mac folder in it. Delete the mac folder and zip only the normal all-in-one folder 4. go to plugins and upload that "cleaned" zip file. do the upload of your data as described from Ferdy. 5. when all is done, go again into the wp downgrade plugin and use the bottom function to get it back to proper current version (if it hasn't automatically updated because of your migration). Hope it works for you too!
@juliek89 if you unzip the source file, and go into the source file 'all-in-one-wp-migration-100GB' there is actually two additional folder. If you just delete the first file '_macosx' and zip the second file 'all-in-one-wp-migration' you can upload the plugin in without having to install the plugin 'wp downgrade'
@@courtneywuerfel3427yeah, i just did that for additional compatability security, knowing that otherwise, perhaps a new wp version might not work. It's not mandatory, but it doesn't hurt either.^^
I am just so overwhelmed with happiness when I saw my migrated website looked as identical as my development website. It was my first website, so you can imagine how nervous I was!! I am just glad that I ended up at your video in this search of migration help. Seriously I can't thank you enough for this great video. Huge thumps up. Thank you buddy. 👍
Thanks Ferdy you ended a nightmare. This is hands down the easiest-to- understand ,most effective tutorial on the subject of website migration/transfer to any other host, especially when your hosting does not have a regular c-panel and your subdomains are not included in your hosting, All transfer plugins are not equal I hope you would permit me to use your tutorial to make a review on the value of this tutorial for the newbie.
If you are having the 'incompatible archive' issue, back up your site, install WP downgrade and revert back to version 6.4.2 of wordpress. This will then work as described in the video. There is a tutorial on WP downgrade called 'How to downgrade your WordPress Version in 2 minutes' by the channel 'Mfidie - Tech Stories, Reviews, Gaming'. Give me a like if this worked for you so others can see, and give Mfidie some love too :) Hope this helps everyone. Thanks Ferdy for this video :)
Legit advice! Also after migrating your website revert again to 6.4.3 (in my case this is the version of the migrated website) so it can be shown the results, otherwise will be in blank.
FOUND THE SOLUTION! I opened the zip from Freddy and found it had this mac-folder. I unpacked his zip and then seperately ONLY zipped the actual all-in-one folder and uploaded that. WORKS!!!! (aka, the issue was the auto mac-folder in the zip file)
[SOLVED] install old version plugin v6.7 and import migration file normaly (hope it is not larger than 512mb, since that is the max v6.7 supports on free and big uploads plugin doesn’t help)
I had the same problem. I solved it by increasing the file upload size limit to 2GB via the .htaccess file. Here are the lines of code I needed : php_value upload max filesize 2G php_value post_max_size 2G php_value max_execution time 300 php_value max_input_time 300 php_value memory limit 2G Note : I use histinger. Other host may not allow it.
Thank you so much Ferdy and WPressDoctor.. geez literally saved me from this nightmare of updating Prod with my dev environment changes. Exactly what I needed. How awesome is that! Cheers
I'm tired of migrating websites, using all in one WP migrate, always stuck in the importing, but the version you shared with us is very helpful, thank you very much Ferdy.👍😊
@@oXRaphaelXo nope, tried it on my windows laptop aswell, I think it is some zip metadata thing. If you unzip, modify and zip it again, the metadata is not the same.
Nice tutorial, but you really should mention the overall time that this process will take to finish. For example, my 7GB website took me about 4 hours just to create a backup file. Then it took me 7 attempts to download it completely because of the connection breaks, even though my Internet connection is stable and the server is fine. After that, I was stucked at "Retrieving a list of all WordPress files..." when performing import for almost an hour, tried again several times, and still didn't manage to complete the process on a localhost environment (MacOS + Mamp Pro). The only reason that I've even tried this plugin is because I'm having issue with manual backup and restore (regarding the database), so I've decided to give it a shot with this plugin, but with no luck. Also, there's a whole bunch of scenarios and stuff that probably needs to be done when backing and restoring large sites, like increasing max_execution_time and memory_limit in PHP that you didn't mention in this tutorial.
I contacted my hosting service and got some assistance for the migration process. It took two days chatting with them but my issues weren't resolved. However, your video helped me migrate my website smoothly, even though it is not very large. Thank you so much!
Hi Freddy, thanks a lot for this tip, it really helped me out in a freelance project! Thanks also for your positive attitude in all your videos, it helps inspire me to do more :)
Thank you for this I stopped using All In One WordPress Migration years ago because of the upload limit. Your version worked great thank you hope more people use it!
Hi Ferdy, Great tutorial! I've a question. Do we need to delete the previous website data after we migrate to the new domain? And if yes, how do we do that? I'm afraid that Google will consider my new domain content as copyrighted content?
Ferdy, this is awesome. Thank you for the hack. I called my host company and they capped my installs to 250 even though I have a business account with them. All the hacks I found didn't work until I came across your RU-vid video. Keep up the good work, friend.
Hi bro, thanks for mentioning me! I’m happy you liked my video and custom adjustments and I hope your viewers also can appreciate it! Have a awesome day and I see you soon!
I really enjoy most of your videos, but this one gave me somewhat mixed feelings… this is just nulling a plugin, sure you can modify it within your legal rights, but 6.77 is like 4 years old, so probably it will fail somewhere down the line, or be prone to security issues. Wouldn’t it be preferable to just support the devs with a one time payment for the unlimited extension? Most who follow you probably earn a living building websites, I guess it’s not too hard to churn out 70 bucks one time, not having to worry ever again about updating and going against WP best practices and risk having your clients websites go bye bye.
Omg...it work perfectly well!!! I have been trying to migrate all my content from my subdomain to my main domain,to no avail But your method work perfectly well and smoothly I don't really drop comment though, but this video worth it, You can't imagine how much stress I have passed through all because of this🥺 You just earn a subscriber 👍
after closing the modal at successfull import, im signed out and cant sign in. did you use any different credentials? maybe from the source(from which you exported data)?
Groeten, Joost
Wow, this saved so much time and headaches for me! I was really concerned as I realized I cannot migrate my backups anymore. This fix worked out perfectly! Thank you very, very much!
Thanks for the video Ferdy, it saved the day for me as it was so easy to follow and migrate my website from the old domain to the new one using the modified migrate software.
Thank you man, been trying like 100 different things and my hosting provider doesn't let me change php data. Your tutorial helped a ton and saved me a lot of time!
One more time you have teach me something very helpfull my friend. Since i started following you my life and work became easier. Thanks a lot. This tutorial worked for me perfectly...
Thank you so much ❣️❣️❣️.. I have been watching videos on youtube since 2 days. But no video was able to solve my problem. Thank you so much brother you have solved my problem thank you so much!
Thank you for making this video, I was using GPT 4 to guide me through moving my site to a new instance on aws but it kept having me do it the most complicated way. I guess it shows you that Ai is still a work in progress but your video was able to help me get it done thank you!
