Nope! I haven't had any issues with it cracking and I've been using it for a couple of years now.

Well, for my build it was simply spraying on a few coats of rattle can plasti dip. You can find it at Lowe's or Home Depot. Nothing especially fancy about the process, but it paints and seals the foam quite nicely!
