A problem I always run into is muddy low 808’s. A lot of the time I like the low end in my melodies and try to eq it enough to free up the low end, but still have a bad distorted muddy 808. Idk what to do. I have a bunch of really good kits with fire 808’s.
@@waelzuid Dpends on your 808! Problem is most of these channels arent explaining the difference of a kick/808 and a bass/808. Idk why tf there are like 1000 accounts and nobody is prob explaing it right. If I have a knocking 808 I probably just have to cut my 30 or maybe a bit to 40Hz so you got room still having a a Kick808 combo. BUT if you use a straight knocking no sub kick ypu gotta make room for 808 bass if you wanna mix it. What do you wanna sidechain if the kick is already an 808 knock bass? You could sidechain a solo kick with 808 bass or you can let your kick work between 100hz and 60hz with a a curb into your 808 EQ. If that isnt enough and you wanna sidechain it then you gotta try to find a signal using compressor or you just down the loudness with automation at the kick points.
Great video, again! Thank you. Once I was talking to Andrey and told him how I compare frequency range and wif channels. For me, they are fighting to be "heard" in a very similar way. Similar channels (same) demand one of them to have a lot of power to be noticed and do not keep "behind" the others... The problem is, they're fighting for the "ears" of the routers, cell phones, etc. and this messes the data a lot... BTW, where did that 808 sound comes from??? I use to analyze many ones. Mostly the wave drawing needs to form a leaf-like form over the sine waves like a blend of both...
I dont know why but now when I select an 808 it sounds good when you play it alone (lets say piano roll) and then when I lay out some other things like melody and stuff it sounds so low. This happened to me yesterday and I cant understand why
how did you get that high slide in the 808 to stand out in the mix? It's like the slide note comes right at the front of the mix. I'm trying to achieve this too
