Awesome Video! Here is the hack I use...I cut my Qtips in half after I dip them so I can use both sides. Then, I place the Qtips in a small snack ziplock baggie. If you find you need to make a scent stronger, then you would dip another Qtip and place it in the baggie. Hope you can use this hack.

I'm in the process of starting my own business that will include Candles. Just what I needed! My business has been up since late September but just as expected I haven't sold as many candles and they're mostly to family and friends. I had a client at work wanting me to make him a lemongrass candle. Lemongrass and anything citrus are difficult scents to work with. They're so light once they set. Much to my disappointment, even after I cured my lemongrass candle, there was no smell at all and I just couldn't disappoint this client 😔 I make soap too and have the same results of the citrus scents not smelling after it cures.

Thank you for this video because I was over in my little space, thinking that I was weird for doing blending like this because I use what I have readily accessible and can get a lot easier than the professional strips. I know for me cuz I have glass jars around, I usually grab one of each and test that way.

Hey, what an awesome video. As someone who has just purchased wax for the first time I have been struggling on how to choose and combine scents. I never would have thought to use the method you described, I probably would have just poured oils together and wasted alot! I have one question, if you see this, once you determine the scent combo you want is there a specific way to then go about combining the oils! Hello! I love this idea! A question, do use the same (one and only) twist off the jar for every scent you want to test? If yes, how do you clean them to rinse the smell off the jar? Your response will be highly appreciated!

I save almost every jar from things like sauces, jams and salsa, I just think they can be reused for something. So every time you finish a little jar of food/sauces you can clean with dish soap and white vinegar to remove odors. Let air dry really well before putting cap back on. Then you may be able to collect a few to use for this purpose. I definitely think her recommendation of alcohol is important too for the final step and in-between testing.

I feel like the q tip method works better than the blotter method when you go to marinate. It really does save oil. I had a berry and a lemon I liked but together...ugh....it was like a bathroom urinal cake. It was so bad! lol

no sounds like a conflict. try lavender and vanilla. mango and peppermint dont sound so good together. maybe make it and ask for feedback from friends.
