Yes, interface se you can get louder and a better output for mixing. But direct connect karke bhi you can achieve ache mixes, interface hona is a bit more convenient though. I'm using the SSL 2.

Zyada practice karo to instrument ek month mein bhi seekh sakte ho but mixing is all about ear training jo ek mahine mein kabhi nahi hota. Aur instrument seekhne mein mixing related balancing, cleaning and texture add karne jaise kuch nhi hota jitna mujhe idea hai. Pehli line jo aapne boli hai woh mujhe smjh nhi aayi, and yes logo ko maybe compression bohot important part lagta hai mixing ka but apni videos mein mai hamesha balancing ko highlight karta hoon, kyu ki agar balance hi sahi nhi hai to sab bekar ho jaata hai, and eq is I think the most important after balancing, to agar frequency related kuch lag raha hai logon ko I think sahi lag raha hai. But jahan baat ek ache clean mix se ek commercial mix pe aati hai wahan compression ka sabse bada roll hota hai. To woh kaafi important hai, baaki sabki alag alag thinking hai and that's okay.
