that's good to hear, I plan to mod my anne pro II to make it thockier, I have gateron brown which i love. What changes did you make to your keyboard, did you updated the switches as well?
Loved the bandaid mod since my anne pro 2 had really shaky stabs- I found if you use a screwdriver or something to gently push that stem piece you referred to up, it actually just stays in place so you don't risk popping out the bar and then you can just push that stem piece again to put it back! Great vid- thank you sm
bruh the only thing left of that ane pro2 is the pcb xD nice job anyways. At this point might as well desolder the switches and put some better linears on it
the only thing i can think of is that it's a tray mount case, so wherever the screws touch the pcb/switch/plate assembly would result in a harsher bottom out and therefore a harsher/clack sound. hope that makes some sense?? hahah
so basically any soldering keyboard i can lube like this ? i have a hyperx alloy origin which has a lot of spring ping, dont think this method can make it better
I’d say so. You’d be surprised with how much it helps! Just make sure you do your research before trying. I’m not sure what switches that keyboard has but it looks like a generic switch so should work?
After watching all these videos and researching on how to fix keyboard sound issues i feel like i should just stick to a damn membrane why doesnt a keyboard sound good out of the box?!?!?
Unfortunately not, the Anne Pro is a tray mounted keyboard - the only thing you could do to get it close is to o-ring mod it. Check out Keybored's Tofu mod guide for context!
