Noice! For quicker decompile and recompile, I used to baksmali the classes.dex for putting my toast then smaling it again, and extracting only the il2cpp and metadata from the apk zip file then pasting it again inside the zip file then just signing in. So we don't need to wait for the whole apk to decompile and recompile.

Hi, thank you very much for sharing! I have been successfully modded a game following your toturial, and I am getting greedy. I am trying to figure out how to mod a method returning String? For example, I want a method to always return "Po" as a string value. Is there a hex code for it? Or do I have to do it another way?

The byte size of the libil2cpp file changed then, and this usually happens when you copy and paste a hexcode opposed to typing it in manually. The game won't be able to load the lib if it's byte size changes:P

@@LucasLima-ef9kn means the system cant read the applications data, you either made one of these three mistakes im guessing 1. Your hexcode isnt for the write assembly(if youre working with arm64 be sure to use hex codes corresponding to such, also try both arm 64 and arm7 unmodified to be absolutely sure of your systems arch ) 2. You made an edit that broke the application(sometimes functions can look good to edit but belong to a class that have no effect or malfunctons) 3.you changed the byte size of the file by usibg paste(ctrl+v) instead of pastewrite (ctrl+b) to overwrite bytes within the .so

i am just here to learn, why u specifically put the exact hex value in that libil2cpp u have already mod hex... thats why u paste it... we dont have mod hex value for our game. so, what can we do? any help/idea very appreciated

The hexcode are just arm/ IL instructions converted into hexcode if you want to know better on which hex codes you should use for which games find a function for a suitable method and class and convert it's original to get an idea of what assembly language it uses then make your desired instructions reconvert and insert with ctrl+B instead of crtl+v because V will change the byte size and it won't run

@@nishatislam3495 well you want to find a method called by a function in a useful class. get_Coins would be a method annd it can be called in a lot of things but which function its called in is what's important for example being called in the UI wouldn't be a useful one to modify. voids are created and used just like other value returning functions but do not return a value when executed. You can edit int, float, double, and bool(true or false usually returns the singular 00 or 01 in HxD 00 is false and 01 is true) useful functions would look something like playerdata enemydata Playermanager...

I find the compiling and decompiling to be my problem. Try to open the file with winrar opposed to compiling or decompiling it. Don't try to right click and hit "open with" go through the winrar app and navigate to the correct directory then you should be able to read the .apk like it's any other archive. Drag meta data and libil2cpp out of this to copy it out of the file. When you go to replace the libil2cpp with your modded libil2cpp delete the one from the .apk and then put in yours. will unsign the apk when libil2cpp is replaced so resign the apk if applicable

Great tutorial, But I still don't understand how do I edit class fields? So I have a game (APK built with Unity, C#) where there are different weapons and I am basically trying to make their reload time faster. Now each weapon has their own class with a field called reloadTime but there are no getter methods for them, so I am stuck at how to modify the class fields. Any help would be really appreciated.
