Personally I don’t mind the stud shooters on this one. They’re far less intrusive than usual.

Another thing that I have done to mine was add a smooth stud or 1x1 square in the gap where the technic pin goes in by the engine so that the angle at which the wing rests at is a lot less extreme. This makes the wing placement look a lot more accurate to the show.

I have added 4 little wheels with tires at the bottom, using the empty holes in the two long technic bricks. That makes the ship possible to roll on my table, pretty fun. Why not try and see whether you also like it? :)
