Good technique, it's just that your dovetails are going in the wrong direction. The point to using dovetails, (Other than looking good) is so that in the event the glue fails, the joints will hold itself together mechanically. Putting the dovetails in the direction (as shown in the video) they would simply pull apart in the event of glue failure. I know that isn't the point of the video, I was just pointing it out.

as a cabinetmaker I would have made the petrusion in another group. Easy to do it in real life
