Hi, this is something that I will explain in an ARCHICAD course. I am currently finishing of a Cinerender Course which will be online soon for a small fee. It be absolutely packed with knowledge, not just of Cinerender but knowledge I did gather over the last 20 years of being a 3D Digital Artist. Keep you posted.

Hi! I really love your tutorials and I will subscribe right away because this is EXACTLY my challenge in my design now. Is there a way the elevation in the South view can be different from the one at the North elevation? Then in the middle, the shell would slowly twist so as to combine the different facades at the front and at the back? Thank you

Thanks! I am not 100% sure what you mean. You can have two different facades on either side. After you cut through just reduce the cut distance in 3D view.

@@ASMTechbase I mean, for instance, when I create a different front shell facade and a different the back Shell facade, I want the shell tube connection in the middle to merge both shapes, maybe make it look twisted, to increase complexity.

I used a shell which I modelled to look like a wall, so I can rotate them in section or elevation. You can use a morph too if you like, which you can rotate too.

is there a reason you did not use the curtain wall tool in elevation to do the roof lites?

Hi Errol, yes there is. I did them first in Elevation but then when I tilted them by 60 degrees they won't fit the shell roof. Unlike the shell tool the curtain wall will tilt and the top of the curtain wall will tilt down , like along an arc. The shell tool "stays" at the top at the same height level when tilted !

how do we create a hole without clicking it one by one if I make waves for second skin facade??

Hi Moses, sorry only just saw your message. Unfortunate you can't if your holes are different in shape. If they are the same shape you can actually select the first hole you created and then copy that one as many times as you want :) Hope this helps.

Any Ideas why i cant substract the shell from the wall-like shells? The result is nothing.
