How to Modified a Safariland 6360 RDS Holster to Work with the Trijicon RMR HD

Tutorial of how I modified my Safariland 6360* RDS holster to accept the Trijicon RMR HD. If this process does not work for you after the initial trial, repeat it again. You can always add more heat, but you can't go back if you melt something.

Had my Glock 19x cut for the RMR-HD and it didn’t fit the Safariland 7360RDS. Called Safariland and they said because of the custom slide cut it wouldn’t fit any holster made by them. Looking for alternatives that require no mods but will definitely run this for the range.

I thought I was going crazy when it didn’t fit. Kinda mad now I waited to get this optic and can’t run it at work now. You are the only person I found talking about this.

Going to do it here soon. Will let you know and keep you posted. But I will say this, trijicon isn’t lying when they say something will fit. Because when the SRO first came out I was just curious (didn’t run it at work) but it actually fit my holsters. So who actually knows 🤷🏽‍♀️

@@______4790 it actually got stuck in such a way I had to apply a screwdriver to the locking mechanism to get my gun back out of the holster. Like its repeatable, every time the gun locks in but has to have the ALS pryed open to get it back out lol

@inamadworld There is definitely a range of tolerances when it comes to Safariland. I would double check that the holster is meant for the gun and everything on it first. This mod only works to add a bit of room where the optic is. I have not seen any guns get stuck.

@@nh2a I had no issues fitting until the optic was installed. I am going to continue trouble shooting and trying different things. Worst comes to worst I buy the ALS holster for the RMR HD.
