Love love love your big hair Sierra. Question though, if you all promote length retention and low manipulation styling.....how often are you manipulating your hair for your signature fro while still focusing on length retention and your hair growth journey?
Hey Lovely💕 this is a great question. This signature style is my low manipulation style. Since I’m not using any gels or other styling products when I do it, I’m not harshly combing/brushing through my hair, and I can easily braid it back up (minimal tangles) this is my low manipulation style bc it’s easy to maintain and helps promote length retention. I also only fluff it out like this once-twice a week so that’s also why it’s a low manipulation style. Then I moisturize and braid it up so I can wear it out again. Just a note: you are putting the hot water near your roots, which opens the cuticle there. It does not look like you are getting the leave in close enough to your roots to re-close the cuticle. I’m just thinking maybe that’s why your roots are dryer. Idk, IJS.
