I am new to orchids and just starting out. In looking for pots, I was stunned at the prices! Then I found your video. This is such a beautiful and natural-looking way to grow orchids! Very lovely. I'm going to try this!
Dental floss is great. Cheap, easy to buy, strong, durable..... I sew everything with it. "Braided" fishing line is the best..... but it isn't sold in every grocery store.... but it's sold in dark colors and 125 yards is a lifetime supply. Nice clip....
First of all your daughter is cutie pie. All your orchids are so beautiful, and know I will learn a lot from you. I thank you kindly for teaching what you know.
very useful video, im preparing to build a bioactive terrarium and really want some mini orchids and think this will look amazing. this is definitely the best video ive found on the subject and all of your orchids look beautiful
Hi! Thankyou for the video. I just mount a phalaenopsis on a clay water pot...i hope it works as its a smooth texture and doesnt have grains for the roots to hold.
@@adyashasorchiddiaries9550 This video is breaking the stereotype that orchids can only be mounted on fern blocks or pine wood. Please share more such creative videos.
Wow great ideas. Ur videos are very nice and u explain very nicely. I have learnt a lot from ur videio and actually I keep waiting for ur videos.they are very helpful. Thank you and keep posting 😊
Wonderful mam. I feel very fortunate enough to have found your channel.. You seem to be very bold and comfortable with the mounts. Can any piece of wood be used. I haven't come across any one like you.. explanation is perfect .and thank God in Eng.
Thank u 😊 u can use almost any type of hard wood..just be sure that it's non-toxic...and fresh water drift wood are the best..if u have fresh wood,it needs to trated before using..soaking in water for atleast 2weeks with daily or alternate day water change,or baking it for couple of hours to dessicate it completely and get rid of any insects hiding inside.. basically the wood has to be aged before using as a mount,to prevent bleeding of tannins and all..mounting on almost any live trees on the other hand is okay🙂👍
I was recently given an orchard as a birthday gift. I was thinking to myself, how do I keep it alive? I've killed too many! This helps tremendously...Thank you!
I love the ideas ♥️♥️definitely I try some of them. But I want to know one thing there is no need of charcoal coconut husks etc to plant this in wooden planks
Thank u 😊 no need of charcoal if u are mounting on wooden plank..just add some water retentive fibre like moss or coconut coir 😊 do share ur pics once u mount ur orchids..will love to see them😊❤️
Wonderful video . Explained so well. I have a few orchids mostly dendrobiums. Can u suggest a fertiliser for them. They seem to be growing well but very few blooms with long gaps
Thank you so much 😊❤️ I use organic fertilizers all year round on my orchids..except for a few decidous orchids which need complete winter rest.. organic fert like liquid sea weed extract n epsom salt (mostly) , and banana peel water ,egg shell fert, diluted milk , rice water etc occassionally 🙂but in my experience for Dendrobiums not to bloom ,it's almost always the light,u can try moving them to a brighter spot and see if that helps 😊👍
Bahut acchi jankari h. Mam.. Mai new hu orchid ke mamle me. Please bataye hum kaise malum kare water kab dena h. Kabhi kabhi jayada pani de dete h.. Kaya leaf se malum ho sakta h..?
I guess u can...it's used cover bonsai pots also..but it has to be cleaned and dried I guess..because there may be snail or ant eggs..I have not tried that..if it works for u,do let me know😊👍
Hi...all orchids have different requirements🙂I have several videos on my channel regarding light and other requirements of various varieties..u can check those...most commonly begginers start with Dendrobiums and Phalaenopsis..here are the links of those ..plz check🙂 Phalaenopsis repotting and care ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fctFVdOlI9I.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VQYKIZhNuas.html Dendrobium repotting and care ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cYJ33b_0tMQ.html
Yes...I have kept some plants inside my home..near the windowsill..they get nice morning sun...I generally keep some Phalaenopsis and paphiopedalums indoors...🙂others they stay in balcony.. receive morning and evening sun..😊
@@Subha_from_Odisha I don't unless I see some spotting on the leaves or if I cut any spike or cane to seal the ends..and not on the roots dear..only on leaves or stem..if cinnamon powder falls on roots,it will dehydrate the roots and may cause root burns🙂
I use only when needed...but commercial growers they use on a regular basis...as a home grower..the 1st thing what I do when I notice something suspicious is I isolate the Orchid...clean the affected part..if it's extensive then I remove the affected leaf..and sprinkle cinnamon on cut ends...if I'm not cutting the leaf and only a small spot then I just put cinnamon powder on that spot..sometimes there might be issues in the potting media..if the problem still continues then best is to repot the orchid in fresh media..keep away from other orchids and I avoid overwatering🙂
