I have a similar issue with my 12’X16’ Yardisty gazebo. I want to raise it about 6”-12” higher and shift it over about 10’ so that I can build another gazebo. It’s already built and I don’t want to remove the roofing panels. I have tons of ideas but holding off due to millions of other home projects. The great thing is that it’s on a paver patio. Hopefully I’ll find a RU-vid video of someone moving their gazebo on a cement or paver patio. I was also thinking about making industrial casters for each post do that I can move it from time to time. Thanks for this because it has given me an idea.
On casters, I am planning the same. On the leg bottoms of this gazebo, is a 4x4 hole but with a plate across that holds a plate for the cement pegs. My thoughts are to 1) insert 2ft (2x4, and a 1x4, then a 2x4) into the leg in the hopes of filling out the hole. Then I would drill through and add some bolts and nuts in both directions. This would add stability to the legs so I can add a 6-inch caster on each leg bottom; or 2) Remove the bottom cross plate with a Dremel and insert a piece of 4x4 and stabilize as above. The thought of a mobile gazebo is interesting from a DIY innovation perspective. I am not sure how many times we will actually move it. But pushing this into the cul-de-sac and down the road will undoubtably force someone to scream "get an ezup!" Fun stuff.
Great! When we finished the build, we used the frisbees on the feet and could pull it with lawnmower and car. We also had 4 strong folks each lift a bit on the legs and it slid fine too.
