@@thug588Because pros aim at head mostly? I tried it in my pugs, all noobs tries to bodyshot as they see me, and when I crouch my head gets down to exact level where these bots shooting at.
make sure youre not holding a direction (A or D) before you let go of crouch... its harder than it looks, if you peeking to the right you should [hold D, let go of D, tap A while tapping crouch right after, then A or D again] should be a bunch of taps, dont keep moving while tapping crouch...you want your head hitbox to move horizontal then down vertical, back up vertical, then horizontal again... thats the icing on the cake.
Was just about the ask this, since this was not so clear to me. I felt like... Has Donk discovered some new mechanic that allows you to be accurate while moving, but instead it is infact just about counter strafing at right times and utilizing some extra ducking while you are basically on your "shooting phase of the counter strafe and shoot cycle". But yeah, imo there are clips aswell where he just ADs while crouching, and I think the pattern there is something like: 1. Do the initial counter strafe + crouch tap + shoot- combo 2. If there's a possibility of more enemies -> Crouch + A+D AND spray + stand-up -> crouch again I dunno. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AbWHZnyKqAY.html
I just wanna say this. I've been watching like all ur videos recently and they are really, really helpful. Not only this video, but also the ones that are more philosophical. Even though I play Valorant, and my goal lies there, ur videos help me so much. Hope u keep doing this cuz ur really inspirational brother!
I made a video (basic one) long time ago about this , but your video is way way professional and complete than mine thanks for helping the community and I learn something new
Ironically people have been doing this for years on pistol rounds but just not with rifles. CS2 makes this way more effective though because in CS:GO this type of movement wasn't that great because the player models were mostly "normal". CS2 player models move in such weird ways. Tapping crouch when peeking an angle is extremely annoying to deal with for the opponent btw.
Hello! Played with you and sterling the other day with my premade on mirage, unfortunate game on my end and a bad 5th. Cool that you're covering movement. A subject that should be considered more often imo.
Great video, congrats! Speaking of peaking, your mic is peaking 😅 Play around with the sensitivity/gain in G HUB and the position of the mic as well. If you have the G Pro X checkout Blue Voice, which can drastically improve the quality also. Keep up with the good content!
@@calebwatson966 r/wooosh Hes referring to the audio term "peaking". It is clipping by definition but levels 'peaking' is also a valid term mostly from the old tape days where things didn't clip, they just compressed at the top end.
One thing you could've been more clear on is that awpers change the distance of their peek so their speed and size of models change to throw off their opponents holding an angle. In the example you showed in Dust 2, the enemy is farther away from the obstacle no matter if you (as a t) peek closer to wall or farther, so the enemy always have the advantage of seeing you first. Good awpers more so change their peek to throw off opponent's expectations and make them miss.
Посмотри ещё, что донк пикает только на полной скорости, то есть когда персонаж начинает топать, он редко пикает до того как персонаж топать начал. Это тоже немаловажно, ведь тогда он очень быстро пролетает и попасть по нему сложнее.
You need to counter strafe before shooting. Counterstrafing is taping opposite key to your current movement. Let's say you are moving left holding A before you shot you let go of A and tap D and than shoot. What it does it stops your movement momentum instantly, if you would let go of A without tapping D your momentum would gradually slow down. That's why it's crucial to use 1 movement key if you want to peek, it's a lot easier to counrerstrafe
Excellent video ! Bro, tapping "ctrl" to crouch feels so fkin bad to me idk why, maybe it's because I feel like it slows me way to much and makes me an easy target to shoot at, unsure if this is a good advice
does he counterstrafe before tapping crouch when peeking? never heard anyone saying so, but if I dont counterstrafe before tapping my crouch, my first 1 or 2 bullet why into nowhere
I’m sorry but I think it’s bad advice for a normal player to play like donk, he can move like this because he has unhumanly insane aim if you don’t have that you can’t compensate that movement he’s abusing for the avg player the best advice would be to move as few as possible imo and rely more on crosshair placement than on raw aim if it isn’t as good as donks
just try to copy his movement while shooting, tap crouch and spam a d, why does he so precise while moving? thats because this game has thing named velocity, the higher velocity then more inaccurate ur spray/shooting is, when u spam a d ur velocity is not that high so u kinda have stable spray
"Moving" in the video meant "Counterstrafe perfectly." When an enemy peeks, you already have a timing on when your shot will be accurate. Jordan N0thing Gilbert has two drills that will help you understand this. One is for shooting with perfect counterstrafing. One is to not panic when being shot at. Apply them both to your warmup until they become second nature for you.
