Sounds pretty good but unfortunately, as a retiree, my chances of living there are somewhat low. I think Hungary and Czechoslovakia (forgive me for not using their correct names) are the best representation of old Europe’s charm. It’s just as well their leaders haven’t sacrificed their cultures to the globalists! Long live Magyar!
i wanna move there in 5 or 6 years when i’m 18 or 19 since almost all of my friends, as well as my girlfriend, are hungarian! it’s also a VERY beautiful place with a beautiful languageee (but complicated language as well XD)
Is it possible if I have about $2,000,000 mil dollars plus get a check each month for $2,000 the government there will let me live there and NOT work😊Ven if I had to invest up to $300,000 I would as we all know MONEY TALKS😁
I was born in Budapest, Hungary. In 1956 after the revolution my family emigrated to the United States. I am now retired, 75 years old and a US citizen. I still have several cousins living in Hungary. Would I be able to relocate to Hungary as a permanent resident?
It is very likely that you are still a Hungarian citizenship/easy entitled to reacquire Hungarian citizenship. Call/go to the embassy in your jurisdiction for them to assess your situation.
1. How are the Hungarian tax residents and citizens taxed on their non-Hungarian income sources (Does Hungary tax your worldwide income)? Does Hungary have wealth tax? 2. Does Hungary have a retiree residency visa program (for US citizens) for retirees tat do not need to work in Hungary? 3. What is the best long-term visa type for US retirees who do not want to become a Hungarian tax resident? Thank you,
1. Yes, worldwide income is taxed. 2. No, but if you have a semi-passive company you can stay based on that. 3. The digital nomad visa (white card) is the only option that will allow you to stay in Hungary for a while without becoming a tax resident.
Yes, please come here, Hungarians are all leaving as the country has become the literal butthole of the EU. But we are always very happy to welcome yet another well-off Western-European who will easily buy an estate we cannot afford from our ridiculous salaries😊 You may also want to consider becoming a Russian oligarch or a Serbian maffia member - it makes earning Hungarian citizenship significantly easier.😊
If I want to work as a digital nomad in a european country for 2-5 years to build up capital before retiring, where would the best low tax, low cost of living countries be?
Hi how are you? I'm non eu citizen but I'm married with an EU citizen and also have an finnish permanent resident will those speed the process to get a visa.
I have boyfriend in Hungary and I want to move there. Does it count like he is my family member?Because we want to marry soon. I'm from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
If you incorporate in Hungary, buy property through the corporation, pay all the taxes then you can renew your TR until you have enough years to apply for PR.
I didn't yet but i will for sure , living in a country that doesn't use Euro is better financially is good, i had that experience in Ukraine before , comparing to Netherlands now it's harder to save and invest though..
Yes, the euro as a currency is a problem if you want to keep your budget low, even if the currency lost 20% of its value versus the USD, non euro countries are almost always cheaper.
She means she watches too much news and spends too much time on social media, so she thinks school shootings are a threat. It’s an attempt by the media and the leftists to get Americans to disarm themselves and surrender our constitutional rights.
Hungary is imploding under Orban. More and more taxes. For the average Hungarian it is truly a tragedy. But for digital nomads Hungary is still attractive. Remember that if you invoice people from a country other than Hungary, you don't pay VAT.
@@traveleconomics Not true. I'm Hungarian. I pay much less tax under the Orbáns. Young people and those with three or four children do not pay tax. Neither do those who work in addition to the pension. This was not the case before.
@@traveleconomics The VAT is about 3% higher than the EU average, but if you have a company, the corporate tax is only 9%. So taxes are not high, we have the most favorable tax environment in the last 25 years. You don't even have to pay taxes until you're 25. If you have children, you don't have any or your taxes are low. And for 20 euros a month, they will even replace your kidney in the health department. The Orbáns raised the VAT by 2% because the current opposition bankrupted the country in 2009 and increased the national debt from 52% to 82% in 6 years. Today, even after 2 years of covid and a war in Ukraine, the debt is decreasing again and the economy is growing.
I need to a call with you to discuss EU Residency. I have a good friend in Hungary. He has told me that Hungary might no longer be apart of the EU come 2030 or sooner. EU is not happy with Hungary because the EU says that Hungary is not gay friendly because of how a big is translated.
It may happen, but it also may not. This would have to go through a public referendum, but as of today it is still quite far from happening. I have replied to your email.
As of now, the EU can't kick anyone out, so the only way is to leave is by the government wanting to do that. Right now, EU support in the country is still high, and Orbán, even tho he is far right leaning, understands that we are so integrated into the fabric of Europe that leaving would be detrimental to the country and also to his reelection.
Nice Video Man ❤️ I have a Friend living there since 2016, he finished University there in Budapest but couldn't find a ligit job ever since , he works for starbucks for 4 years till now! I think its because he has a weak passport 🙄
It still is! It's a beautifull country with low cost friendly people and yummy food and a beautifull if hard-as-nails language! And it even has my absolute favorite anime convention and because of that some of my best friends now :3 So I go over three times a year for that event and other fun things and hanging out with frens~
