Another method regarding the ip address; rather than altering it in system preferences, it can be done via network settings. As long as the wi-fi is switched of on the Mac, this method should work.
Hi I have a question how can you do this even more accurate on the music. Cause for example I want my cue's to fire on a 'clap' in the music. But I can only set the pre wait in seconds en the moments of the 'clap' are not always the same and sometimes somewhere in between. Can't you also do this with some sort of time line(in Qlab) and put the cue's in there so the cue's fire exactly at the right time? Thanks for the precise explanation tho!
What do you mean by the claps are not always the same? Like QLab is inconsistent with it's timing, or your performance is inconsistent? The example shown is not designed for when you have variable timing. Your claps must be consistent. Either way, this method is quite cumbersome, and using timecode is often much more accurate and will relieve software bottlenecks in QLab.
In QLab you can create a group cue and set it to timeline, then put your audio track and any network cues in that group. When the group is played, all cues in the group will be run at the same time. By going into the group cue and going to the timeline tab, you can drag each cue to where you want it to be played and the pre-wait time will be set to match that. If you have multiple cues that need to be fired in that track, you can do that with as many cues as you want, and you can also pin the audio track to the top of the timeline with a button on the right to make programming easier. (all this is based on qlab5, not sure if it's the same in 4)
