@Coinsider Thank you for the spreadsheet. I didn't know that stETH and rETH were compounding. I had checked a while ago and written them off because they were not compounding, but since Withdrawals were activated it seems they updated to become compounding. This is a very exciting development.
Meh - I'd say you really downplayed the risks here. A ton of DeFi protocols have been exploited and drained. It's simply not worth 4% IMO, when the risk is your entire ETH bag. DeFi is still to young and immature of a space for me to risk my Eth. Too bad they didn't go the route Cardano (ADA) did....staking is really 100% safe there because your ADA never even leaves your wallet.
I would also be interested as well. Solo staking seems too complicated for me to realistically do, but I don't like the idea of staking by trusting a centralized entity such as an exchange. I don't fully understand staking as a service and how it keeps me in control of my ETH, and I don't understand how something like Lido isn't risky as well... I mean what would happen if they were compromised somehow?
Why would we want to do this instead of simply investing in the S&P500 at an average of 10% average per annum? (I am not shooting the idea down, I am just genuinely curious if i’m missing something here).
You can stake on your PC, so you don't pay a cut to Lido or Rocket pool. I run Erigon+Lighthouse on my Windows 11. I made 2 .bat files. Double click execution layer, double click consensus layer, boom it's done.
If your PC goes down for a few minutes your staking gets slashed . This is why validators is safer because these are businesses with back up power supplies and redundant computers . Self stalking is risky
Thanks for the analysis! 🔍 I’ve got a question: 🤨 I found these words 😅. (behave today finger ski upon boy assault summer exhaust beauty stereo over). Can someone explain what this is? 😅
You're doing a fantastic job! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (air carpet target dish off jeans toilet sweet piano spoil fruit essay). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
@@Coinsider and?.... you're also saying 'never go broke'. That's a pretty big statement. Given how many entities have folded due to 'staking'. Nothing is a guarantee and your narrative seems to say otherwise.
