But Gita presents the Art of Focus by teaching the alternative paradigm that does the needful and performs your duty but doesn't focus on just increasing prosperity and decreasing adversity, but focuses on your identity of a soul and executing the will of the Lord.
Gauranga Das gives the example of our body and how we want to have the prosperity of keeping this body healthy and fit and we dread the adversity of it being sick or invalid. But the Art of Focus is to focus on serving the will of the Lord despite being healthy or ill.
From Gita's perspective, distraction means constantly calculating an increase in prosperity and decrease in adversity but focus means serving the will of the Lord despite prosperity and adversity.
