I don't use earmuffs because at home I can just go in my room where there are no distractions, and in comp the atmosphere is quiet anyway - but I bought this blindfold+ear plug combo anyway for like $10 AUD from bigw that has an adjustable strap and is comfortable, so that fits my needs as an intermediate 2:50 3bld solver thats not too serious about blind.

should be good and that should be good as well - think you can use that in comp too as long as it isn't plugged into anything

I’m getting 30 minute DNFs but I’m pretty sure that the few milliseconds I save from the blindfold will be totally worth it

I solve the cube BLD in about 10 minutes! Ya.. It’s exactly the best time to save that few milliseconds by choosing premium hardware! 😀😀😀

I made my overtight sleeping mask nod-donable by cutting the strap, then reconnecting the strap with a paper clip and covering/attaching that paper clip with black tape. Works well (still adjustable) and looks decent.

Just coz I’m that guy, I don’t see any regs that actually define what a blindfold is or can not be, but I do think it will be common sense as to what should and shouldn’t be worn

Whenever I look up sleeping masks that have the “adjustable strap,” they never have the one piece that allows me to do the noddon.

Practice with Tv on or something, if you learn to solve with distractions , it will be easier when its quiet.

woah there are ones for 300AUD? :O From the last time I looked stuff up, couldn't find any non-electronic ones that high up. Mine was like 50-60AUD so that's probably going to get you something solid.
