This is really clear and well-explained. Thank you. I’d previously never known how to tell whiside the dragon was going to turn. I also didn’t understand how to tell when it was about to perch.
thanks bro, i had problems where i should place the obsidian and where to stand after its starting to purge but with ur tutorial that helped me out a ton and now i can kill the dragon with beds, im still gonna practice this method in the practice map before i speedrun more so i ll be more prepared
thanks for explaining the dragon swing direction and the north south setup. have been practicing it a lot before and didn't get results because of those.
Maybe, zero is a lot more complicated and has a ton of different setups, towers, heights, and technical mumbo jumbo that needs to be explained for a viewer to know how to perform it… 😅
Brilliant video! Is there any way to be sure when the dragon is on it's final swing when you must explode the bed or it will break it? I'm always worried I'll do it one swing too early or too late 😅
This comes with experience. Before every session boot up the practice map, and do one cycles for 20-30 min. You should develop an understanding of what an ideal height is. But exploding it a swing too early is better than one too late, so keep that in mind.
@@MarcusFireworks whenever I build the crying obi, I look at which side of the map the dragon is, and then go to the opposite side, but it just follows me and never goes opposite to me, why is this happening?
It can perch diagonally too. Where it perches from depends on where you’re standing in relation to the perch. My best advice is to go straight south/north after setting your one cycle up. It can do some wacky fast diagonals if you’re standing close to the perch on a diagonal for a bit so that might be what happened to you?
@@LaRynk_ Yes. If you're still experiencing problems with diagonal perches on normal rsg/ssg runs I recommend you watch top runners to replicate what they do. In general the dragon shouldn't perch diagonally if you copy them.
@@MarcusFireworksI JUST DID MY FIRST 4 BED BRO but don't expect to see me there, I don't even have a pb or something, tho I can see myself improving. Thanks again for the vid dude, and btw on my best run I got 3/19 blaze drops, I don't think i'm the problem anymore 💀
i think you forgot to mention the fact that the side that it comes from when snapping is the side that the dragons head will swing towards, its not random or anything like that. if it comes in from the right then it will swing to the right. if it comes in from the left it will swing to the left. :)
