I know this video was from a long time ago but GIRLLL, this was so so helpful!! I wanted to transfer some of my Victoria secret spray into a smaller bottle for my purse and this worked! I was even able to get the lid back on the original bottle and it sprays just like it did before👍🏼 Thanks for sharing this❤️

I got the first piece off, but I still can’t get the actual main piece to pop open. And I tried using the pliers and also a rubber glove in my hands were red so I gave up.
My bottle didn't come with a straw. We're on quarantine so I can't run out and exchange it. So I'm going to use a top from an old bottle. Thank you for sharing.

wish that bath and body works kept they're old packaging from the late 90s. I remember when you bought a body spray they gave you a little travel sized bottle to fill for on the go. I have a few travel sized bottles and some need to be refilled by sents i have in a full size. With what's going on in this world with covid ive been a little more environmentaly aware. Anything i can do to reuse things instead of throwing them away is a win in my book. Companies like bath and body works could really help with that.
I had a broken fragrance mist bottle from bath and body works that I bought last year. I finally used it today and it wouldn’t squirt. Pliers really did help. Mine came off in two parts. The second part was so hard but I had to put some muscle into it. When it finally came off I transferred the fragrance mist into another container. Thanks for posting. Now I don’t have to waste the mist by throwing it away
Thank you so much for this! I live in Korea and the bottle my mom sent me (you can’t get these here) had a manufacturing defect where the tube was super short. Thanks to you I was able to open and replace the top with my old bottle’s!
TIP: if you don't want to damage the bottle (if you maybe want to just refill the mist, which is what I did) you can use the pliers in the same way like in this video BUT put a thin RAG in between the bottle and the pliers to prevent scratching! To put the top back on: put the tip of SCISSORS at the under side of the metal ring and open the scissors repeatedly in a circle all around the ring to unbend it! Take off the smallest very top piece of the sprayer to have more space for your thumbs and then squeeze the metal ring on top of the mist bottle and secure by squeezing it with the pliers and the other ring and tip goes on easily
I just wonder why they make the lids like that in the first place....like I wonder if it is due to theft reasons. I had a Bath and Body Works body spray bottle literally spraying a fine mist on it to own somehow, it could’ve happened as a result of being dropped and then started doing that afterwards but I lost half a bottle because of My Japanese Cherry Blossom....I also have one that my daughter gave me that is more than likely a discontinued scent that when you spray it, it just comes out and goes all over your hand so I am wanting to swap it over to another bottle so I am going to try this more than likely with the help of my husband so thank you for this!!
I'm guessing two reasons, tamper proof and child safety. Bc a kid will put anything in their mouth if it smells like it tastes good. I learned this by babysitting my cousin. He told me, "why doesn't the peach drink taste like peach?" I had cracked this perfume bottle so I poured it in a container until I could get to Walmart for travel size spray bottles...I wrote peach yum on a paper and taped it to the container. Idk why I put yum lmao. It just smelled so good. Anyway, my cousin tried to drink it. 🤮🤦🏼♀️ that kid had me calling poison control for the weirdest off the wall sh*t every other week man.

5 years later and I needed this video today lol I have a travel size of the old spray top, screws right off, and wanted to refill it for traveling next month, had to plier the top off the big bottle. I’m glad I saved the old travel size, cuz the new travel size bottles are the same way now :/ 😮 thanks bath and body works 🙄

Thank you for this! I bought one of my absolute favorite scents from when I was in high school that they finally brought back! I was so excited to get it in the mail... only to find out the spraying mechanism inside the bottle doesnt work properly! So my favorite body spray had been sitting there unused for about 8 months 😭 but now I'm going to open it and transfer to another bottle! Thank You!!!

THANK YOU! I had a bottle that came broken, I got the reimburment of course because it didn´t work but I didn´t throw it away because I knew one day I´ll have the time to investigate how to transfer the fragance to another bottle and here I am ;) It worked and now my mist didn´t go to waste :)
Omg THANK YOUUUU! I just got this yummy smelling spray for Christmas but my son lost the top part and broke the little white piece of it that sprays so I needed to switch bottle tops and couldn't for the life of me twist it off by hand so THANK YOU YOU'RE HEAVEN SENT FOR THIS VIDEO

I actually went through the same process, except I took a small, small screwdriver and lifted the bottom of it off and it came off with ease after a few little pics at the bottom of base Either way I found the way and I thank you for posting this tutorial because these products cost way too much money for me to be throwing my full bottle away.❤
Thank you sooooo much TL, I received my Bath and Body Works order today ("Leaves" one of the new scents) and it wouldnt spray, I looked in the bottle and it didnt have the tube or straw piece inside, so i called and they are going to send another bottle....thanks to you, im going to take the top off this bottle and have all this extra spray! just found a scent that i really liked a few weeks ago (raspberry tangerine) & the bottle that i bought has something weird going on with the tube that usually goes into the bottle. the thing is, that little tube looks like a smaller tube that got bent back up toward the spray nozzle. i tried using it when we got home & i noticed it wasn't really spraying. i looked inside to see the goofed-up spray tube. but now that i've pried the outside ring off, i'm working on getting that 2nd piece off. you weren't kidding when you said they were tough! why do the tops have to be so difficult to remove???
Thank you, my Magic in the Air shimmer wouldn't spray and was almost full. Tried the pliers again and held on tighter, voila the whole cap came off. Will use it like a dab on perfume now since it's the shimmer that clogs up spray tops.
