If you have a working cable, and the problem is only a stubborn hood latch, then this will definitely help. I was skeptical at first, but after spraying the latch from inside the grill, I put my entire body weight on the hood a couple of times, and the hood released itself from the latch. Yes, it really works!

Hi Stephan, my 2001 f150 sat all winter and the hood latch got stuck, after trying all other tricks, I took your advice to soak the latch with std wd40. Magically the hood opened. Thanks much for your great advice.

I been trying & trying the past 2 days. I tried locating the cable under my 97 explorer & can't I'm go spray some more & try again because my latch inside not broken from the cable. My truck been sitting up & we got it open last week but I closed it before spraying & need to replace the battery😢

YOU MAKE ONE HUGE ASSUMPTION that all to often is not the case. MANY times the cable is over stretched or completely broken! In either case this WILL NOT WORK! Only when mechanism is jammed or rusted together will this work in some cases. You should amend the video to show both ways to cover all the bases.
