I was planning to help my daughter open a SIPP with Vanguard tomorrow (her first pension account). And now you have created the video to show us exactly what to do. Thank you Helena.

I tried to open an account but was only given the option to transfer to vanguard?

Thank you Helena for all your wonderful information! I have invested into a Vanguard SIPP for the last two years...is there any benefit to starting another SIPP on a different platform to access different funds available and to take drawdown in one but not the other later in drawdown? Thank you 😀

Can I ask why a sipp and not a s&s isa ? Are you not worried about when the government will ‘allow’ you to access it ?

Hi, not sure if you can clarify . When I go to click on Target Retirement Fund and enter details etc, it then creates a table / illustration showing how much I put in every months up to 65 years but it show that i’m putting in way more than what I’d have in return? Eg, £100 every month in 65 years would be £59k but it says value after charges etc it would be £56k or less - So I clicked on the option to do it myself, I clicked on the life strategy fund 80% (60% said the same) and when I say I’m putting in £100 a month, it shows i’d be getting around £15k back, however, when I said I was putting in a lump sum of £500 it then showed the total i put in as £1k in 65 years? And getting less than that back - Not sure if you can help or if this makes any sense 🙈 I know I may get less & capital at risk etc (hopefully I’ll get more) but I was just a bit confused. So not sure why the TRF is showing up that i’d get less back? Not sure whether to go for the one I do myself & click life strategy 80%? Is it better to do a lump sum of £500 then add £100 in every month? Etc?
