This happened to us today and this was the ONLY video I found on the Internet that actually addressed this problem properly! Thank you so much! We were able to open the lid!
works great. i love that it has stainless steal pot inside ru-vid.comUgkxG-7WiT7ocumjytOpHDFt632PL0pxXRAg and not the one with coating. we used to have a coated pot before, and the coating slowly peels, and i am sure went into the food that we cooked. Absolutely love stainless steel, and will not use a coated product again. This pot has many settings and many buttons, and i need to sit down with a manual to figure out which setting to use. I used the basic functions, and even though i am not technologically skilled, i turned it on and assembled it without any help.Very satisfied with this product overall.
You’re a life saver, thank you Quick tip: you can use a shoe lace and a small scissors if you don’t have the tools he used in the video. It worked just fine with me.
Thanks for giving me a clue-however I could not remove the piece but the lid released by my just lifting it while trying to remove. I started to get worried my corned beef was stuck forever-$13+bucks worth. It’s yummy😋. Thanks again❤
I just pushed the valve down and mine unlocked. You don’t have to pull it out. When it’s popped out it’s locked down is open. Just release the stream and pressure before opening it.
Mine got stuck after placing the lid back on the steaming hot pot and it immediately pressurized and then the release valve wouldn't release the steam so I panicked and tried to open the lid though I knew it might not be safe to do but your tip got mine to open safely so thank you very very much.
Your video is a great help. Mine is a brand-new Instant Pot Duo Crisp + Air Fryer. I was able to successfully open & close the pressure cooking lid after unboxing it. I was going to do the Initial Test Run but the lid would not unlock. I will just take it back to the shop and they can figure it out for me as it is still brand new. I hope the shop will just replace it. Thank you for your video.
What was the solution they offered? I have the same type of IP that got stuck as well. I was able to press down the vent valve and it unlocked pretty easily.
@@Lamz.. They just showed me how to put the lid on properly. The valve must be at the back of the pot. Then rotate the lid clockwise to close & seal the pot. You can feel when the lid is sitting properly because it is easy to turn. Turning the lid anti-clockwise opens it. We need to learn this properly before we start to cook.
8/24/2022 WORLD of GREAT STUFF❗️ You Saved the Day‼️, or shall I say the Dinner Hour. After preparing our evening meal in my Nesco Professional Pressure Cooker, the lid would Not slide open 🤔. I found your Video, followed your directions, and “💥VOILA💥” - the lock pin opened and dinner was served❗️ So, many Thanks to You, WORLD of GREAT STUFF 🤝 👏 👍. Will refer Friends to this Video. TEXAS Girl 💥🇺🇸🇨🇱💥
I used foe plant wire worked in a heartbeat. It's just thick enough to really grab on. But you're still able to tie it around. And you'll pull it right out.
Thanks. I used a bent nosed medical steel tweezer with grip to get that valve out instead of the rope. Our food is still trapped inside, so maybe I'll have to wait until even more pressure is released.
Thank you so much, I have tefal multicooker and I blocked, because I want it to try to put inside one basket for vegetable so I block it. And I do what you do and I open the lid. Thank you 😊
lol is your wife a Dentist? i noticed an instrument you used hahahah ... actually i had the opposite issue, my button wouldnt go down even though we released the pressure... so i kept poking it as i was shifting the lid from left to right a couple times... let the pot cool down to make sure its safe to open :)
@@WorldOfGreatStuff I can tell you didnt, I tried and it came off and it was all metal and did not open , I finally took a hammer and tapped it open , but inside was different , but I can order new lid so thats no problem but letting you know so if anyone else askes
