I can already deal with opening my eyes underwater, i just need to train my sinuses to handle it. This video really helped a lot, I'm just a few steps closer to being better at mermaiding! Thank you!!
what is a good makeup to use underwater that is water proof enough for underwater videos and photos!! Also underwater paint so I can paint my mermaid shell top!??
when im swimming with my tail and also wearing goggles i tell the kids that the chemicals humans use in the water is more than my mermaid eyes can Handel
can't go to the community pool with coconut oil in my hair because it'll make the water gross for other swimmers. Would it still be beneficial if I put the oil in my hair post swim?
For me, humming doesn’t work face up. The pressure of a simple hum is not strong enough to keep the water out, and I end up swallowing in through my nose. I would have to blow out more forcefully, closer to a growl. I use a soft palate trick, where there’s some value that closet in my nostrils. Some water does get in the sinuses, but the trick is to control it (hold it there) so it doesn’t hurt or go down your throat. When I come up, I think close a valve lower in my throat, tilt my head down and forcefully exhale to get the water out.
I’m really struggling on how to close my soft palate. I’m a very active swimmer and I feel like it would be very beneficial to know how. I’ve seen all the videos but I can’t figure it out
Hello mermaid Echo, Is it necessary that those of you who dedicate yourself to mermaid swimming have to give us a course to open our eyes underwater? When I open my eyes under the water I have always seen it as a rule, all my family, my friends, my girlfriend and I, we always keep them open under the water of the pool, so we can play, looking at each other to make gestures, try to listen what we talked about underwater, passing between the legs, picking up objects ... I imagine they will ask you to explain it, that's why you upload these videos, sorry for the way I express myself. It is true that when we finish the day of the pool, we have red eyes and sometimes even cloudy vision, but we never use drops or gels, after a few hours everything is restored.
