How to operate a York YLAA Chiller Control Interface 

@@mskengg sounds like the screen is faulty. Try changing it with one that works if you have another chiller of the same model to confirm it and order a replacement.

Thanks sir i have one more question if you don't mind after display change if we found same problem then what will do # And if we change the other small bord which is connected with bigg bord with battery from other working chiller then no any programming program

@@mskengg first start with the screen. Does the chiller run with the broken screen? If yes, then highly likely it's just the screen. No programming is required when changing just the screen. Lastly if you do not feel confident in the work you are about to do then I recommend seeking another person who can assist you with the task. Good luck and I hope it all works out.

@@mskengg ok you need to select the refrigerant from the display. 1.System switch off postion. 2.program ...code up, up, down, down, 3. Scroll through all parameters until you get to system refrigerant and select the required refrigerant.

@@reyazahmad1792 hi, The 5 minute timer is normal for the protection of the equipment. It is an anti-theft cycle timer. Normally it happens when the chillers cycle off due to low heat load. Check your chilled wate

@@reyazahmad1792check your chilled water loop, be sure that a bypass valve is not open causing the equipment to short cycle.

go to options press enter and check that system switch one and two are both set to on. push the arrow buttons up or down until on is next sys 1 switch + sys 2 switch. also scroll through options until you come to local/remote mode. switch it to local mode and observe operation. scroll down to lead/lag control in options and set it to auto. press the program button then enter, then scroll through until you get to total number of compressors. make sure that it is set to 4. same goes for the total number of condenser fan motors. good luck and let me know how you get on.

I will assume you are working on a older YLAA chiller. on some of the older YLAA'S that operate expansion valves instead of EEV'S they do not display suction temp or superheat in the system info. you will only be able to see the suction pressure and discharge pressure all other values must be measure by you. hope this helps

York Model # YCAL 0347 Before it was showing all this parameters but suddenly it is something wrong after that not showing all temp. Parameters.....

check in the options menu under expansion valve that EEV is selected and not thermostatic. to change you may have to enter the service program mode. service switch in the off position, program button, up up down down enter. scroll through parameters until you come to expansion valve selection. have a go.

If you take a look at the common fault it appears to be a communication issue with the main board. It could be a break in the interconnecting wiring to the inputs or a faulty control board. Have a closer look and bell out the existing control connection. I suspect an issue with the board. good luck with it.

also check the control board power supply. ensure that there are no blown fuses.👍

@@latentfusion2563 All Transformer have fuse and all checked, its ok, both compressor Board getting input 24 vac but it should be output 24 vac for Oil heater relay it's not getting at the relay ( Contactor )... And i couldn't found main board output I am confused because there are 1 main board 2 compressor Board to find which is the problem.... If any good easy way to find .....?

I believe the fault will be with the 'a' compressor circuit board or communication wiring. This fault will also prevent the circuit 'b' from operating. If another carrier chiller is around you could try borrowing parts from it. at any rate you will need to order in some parts. let me know how you get on.
