This video was extremely helpful. absolutely love and appreciate the hard work in the break down of each sentence, I'm sure it took a lot of time to make the slides and the animation for the explanation. Thank you so much for this video!! I love that you showed regular casual conversation in the car too very helpful :))

I really enjoy these "real life" situational videos. And meat to see something I would have never considered outside of the States: A Drive Thru! Neat! Another great video, doomo arigato! Mata!

Thank you for saying that! Drive-thru is pretty popular especially in rural areas in Japan. I often see lines around McDonald’s.

Hi Fumi, Great video. Thanks so much! Will look forward to trying this out at a Drive Thru next time I am in Japan. Enjoying the Real Life Situation Videos, and look forward to the next ones and your other Japanese pitch lessons. I am interested in seeing what is the correct style or etiquette when at a paying at a Department Store or checking in/out of a Hotel. I use basic Japanese but would like to know more. 頑張ってふみさん! ありがとうございました!

Thank you for your comment and suggestion! I'll do both. The hotel one might take quite a long time because I'm not staying at any hotels near future. Let's wait and see how the COVID situation will be. こちらこそ、ありがとうございました。がんばります^^

💛⭐️Can say my favorite food chain McDonald's. JA kanji might be interested in me. Star was combination of living and day in Japanese and 생일[sæng eel] in Korean. Teacher! Tokyo-bon everyday listen make later Japanese deeply learn easier I think.

I did hear the phrase "double cheesburger". Well, there's bound to be some unhealthy food in Japan, lol. I can say that the McDonalds franchises in Japan do seem to be much cleaner.. There seems to be a tendency to add a "u" to the ends of foreign words being used in Japan (Macu-donaldu), but in a word like "gozaimasu" , the "u" is silent..
@SpeakJapaneseNaturally
@SpeakJapaneseNaturally 3 года назад
Hi! Your comment always gives me something to think about. After s, “u”is silent, but other than that, “u” is always pronounced. And after t and d, we usually add “o,” not “u,” because we don’t have the sounds “du” or “tu” originally in Japanese. Makudonarudo, if I write in Romaji.
@massvt3821
@massvt3821 3 года назад
@@SpeakJapaneseNaturally My addiction to romaji might become fatal, at some point. I have to spend more time with hiragana and katakana, lol

Just curious @16:12 the order shows additional M size potato (fries) is that an additional order made. Isn't it cheaper if order by set, rather with the Burger and fries itself. 😊
@SpeakJapaneseNaturally

You’re right!! I should have ordered in that way! The staff there could have told me though…

I started learning Japanese last month and I am still struggling learning hiragana especially in writing and reading. Now I'm getting nervous to learn Kanji. I saw a lot of kanji characters in your videos 😭😭
@SpeakJapaneseNaturally
@SpeakJapaneseNaturally Год назад
You've just started last month! Then please don't be pressured. Sure, there exist kanji, but you'll learn them too. At least my videos have furigana(hiragana for how to read the kanji), so you'll get familiar with kanji naturally.

@@SpeakJapaneseNaturally the reason why I'm studying japanese hard because I really wanted to work in Japan. But first I need to learn basic grammars or language, greetings and Introductions, the way japanese people speak and their tradition/culture and then learn how to read hiragana, katakana and kanji. I need to work and study hard first 😭

No, it's not so easy to order from McDonalds in Japan. In my experience, accidentally touching an item on the menu with my finger while saying "Big Mac please" etc...I don't get the Big Mac, I get what my finger accidentally touched when I was speaking. I'm not joking. As for size of fries, this bizarre game of ping pong ensues..."Emu de"..."Eru?" "Emu"..."Eru?"..."No no, Emu...like Mickey Mouse Emu...M for Mickey"..."Esu" (using their finger to draw and S shape in the air)..."Emu"..."Eru?"..."Emu"............"Esu?"...."EMUUUUUU!!!!!!". This is my life in Japan when speaking Japanese. I'm joking by the way...but this has actually a lot and as for my adventures in supermarkets when asking for 1 bag...I'll save that for another day.
